We enjoyed our stay in te old boulangerie. It is a very characteristic and lovely place, from where a visit to the D-day beaches is nearby. Bayeux is on a walking distance (about 10min) and also the Bayeux station is nearby (5-10min walk). Christoph is a fine host, communication quick and good. Recommendable!

This was a great place to stay near Bayeux. Within walking distance of the centre of town but still secluded and quiet. The converted bakery, and the whole property, looked amazing. Christophe and his wife were very helpful, giving me tips on things to do in Bayeux.

My Wife and I decided to make a weekend trip to Bayeux to visit the beaches of Normandy. The location is a quick drive to the city center of Bayeux and about a 30 minute drive to Omaha beach. Christophe's place was quiet and historical. Christophe was a great host who greeted us on the first night.

We stayed at the lovely Boulangerie for 3 nights in August. Prior to coming we received a very detailed email with instructions on how to get there, how to get into the house and interesting sights around in Bayeux area. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hosts, who were very welcoming and kindly explained what we can also see in the grounds of the estate - which is massive! There is a beautiful old cider press, as well as an extensive garden. The house itself is very nice and comfortable, with all of the amenities that we needed. It is well decorated, and it is nice to see that they incorporated all of the old structures, such as the bakery oven, when renovating. You can really tell that a lot of thought went into renovating the whole place. Location wise, Bayeux is a large town with a nice farmers market on Saturdays. It is also only 4 hours away from the Eurotunnel, and close to many local attractions in Normandy. All in all, we were very happy to stay here, and would really recommend it.

The farm manor is a beautifully restored series of buildings, and the boulangerie apartment, in which we stayed, was also tastefully restored, with a modernised bathroom and a tiny kitchenette. Furnishings were minimal and basic (it felt rather like camping out in this lovely building!), and the comfort level was very disappointing. Our hosts were welcoming, with interesting information about the history and background of their home, as well as suggestions for trips and visits in the local area. Thank you for the kettle, Veronique! The accommodation is very well placed for visits to the D-Day beaches, museums and memorials. Bayeux itself is a pleasant town and well supplied with restaurants, making a good base for explorations. Before booking, be aware of all costs involved. After full payment and completion of booking, a further €45 was requested should we require sheets or towels ( family of 3).

Very welcome and it was interesting to learn how they have transformed the old farm. Chistophe gave us a lift next morning's to collect hire car. We stayed for 4 nights to explore Normandy landing beaches and it was perfect for us

This was the perfect location to view all of the Normandy landing sights. The bakery is an adorable little cottage on a beautiful and secure piece of property. It is close to the train station and main road but still gives you the feeling of being on a farm in the middle of nowhere. It is quiet and comfortable. Would stay here again and highly recommend Christophe and his wife as hosts.
