Sea Breeze is a cozy getaway just 40 minutes away from Dublin. This rustic beach cottage has direct access to the beach and private garden, as well as stunning views of the ocean and Wicklow mountains from a large deck. The property is next to the bird sanctuary (East Coast Nature Reserve) which has long walks and three bird hides. There are also extensive coastal walks to Greystones and Wicklow town. It is an extremely quiet and private getaway.

The space
This cosy cottage has an open fireplace, underfloor heating throughout and a spacious patio for sunny days. There is a master bedroom with a double bed along with a smart TV and Blu-ray DVD player (Netflix access included). The living space is open plan with a large dining room table and a relaxing lounge area. We also have all the mod cons including a dishwasher and microwave. The bathroom has a power shower and a washer-dryer as well as underfloor heating, a heated mirror and a heated towel rail. There is good internet access in all rooms, on the patio and the deck. It is cosy in the winter with the open fire and fantastic in the summer if you like the beach and the outdoors. Not the Ritz, but full of rustic charm.

Where you’ll be

Newcastle, Co. Wicklow, Ireland

This is a very quiet spot with only a few residents in the area and some beach walkers. If you get up early, you will have five miles of beach in each direction to yourself. The beach was ranked #50 in Ireland’s Best Beaches list.

We also recommend going for a walk in the nearby nature reserve. The path is very muddy during winter, but well forth the effort, as the bird hides and paths through the forest are well maintained.
