Welcome on board of our historical sailing ship "Chateauroux", in the winter docked within a quiet and unique part of Amsterdam. Enjoy living on the water, something Amsterdam is known for. Our skipper Arse can tell you all about the ship, sailing and the city.

The space
The Chateauroux is a large sailing ship from 1908. Renovated in 1986 this classic Dutch ship now offers 24 beds (ideal for accommodation of larger groups!).

In the Winter period (November - March) it's located right in the city centre of Amsterdam at the historic shipyard called "Scheepswerf Kromhout"at the Hoogte Kadijk 147 1018 BJ Amsterdam : a well known and unique place in Amsterdam. Nearby the things you're most likely want to experience in Amsterdam: the historic canals, musea, shops, bars, restaurants, concert halls & theaters. But, at the same time at a private, calm and safe location.

There are 10 sleeping cabins (3x4-person and 7x2-person), so max 26 persons can stay, but in the winter we host 16 persons max. 1 separate toilet, 2 bathrooms (both with a toilet) and a large common room and free WIFI , a TV and stereo, are available. Ideal for meals, leisure or other happenings. Finally there is a fully equipped kitchen connected to the common room that offers various catering possibilities. Parking on the wharf is possible for max 2 cars a €10 per day to pay on arrival /paid parking is available at Hoogte Kadijk or Park and Ride at Piet Heintunnel.

For bookings with 13 or more persons the ship is fully yours .
All guests more than 16 persons, pay €30 per person per night.

Bedding and towels is provided; breakfast is not being served; the well equiped kitchen is for your own use to make evt yourself your breakfast, lunch or dinner/ a supermarket Albert Heijn is at 300m from the ship ( Sarphatistraat or Kleine Wittenburgergracht) Please leave kitchen clean after your stay..
