Fantastic apartment right in the heart of Rome. The flat was just as the pictures showed. The finishes were all great and everything met our needs perfectly. We were able to walk to all of the major attactions from the location including the vatican, colusseum, and Trastevere. Campo de Fiori is just steps away and there is a great market that has fresh vegetables, fruit, pasta and other goods for a great price. There are a ton of great restaurants on your doorstep and 5 minutes away in Trastevere. Carlo was a great host and able to answer any questions. He let us store our luggage so we could enjoy Rome on our last day and was kind enough to give my daughter a book that she started reading during our stay.

Carlo's apartment is just as it looks - spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The location is excellent- campo de'fiori is literally around the corner. In fact most of Rome's attractions are in walking distance. Even though the apartment is located in such a central location, we slept well and had no noise disturbances (and we sleep light). Communication with Carlo was easy and efficient. He met us when we arrived and was available for us if needed. Carlo also gave us useful tips about the city. We highly recommend this apartment and we'll love to stay there in future visits.

The apartment is on the corner of Campo De Fiori. This is a great location for restaurants and shopping. The apartment was quiet, clean and newly remodeled. The bed is very comfortable which we think is important. Carlo had a slight mix up with our arrival but remedied the situation quickly. This is a great location and we would stay here again.

Carlo is an excellent host from beginning to end. The room is very nice and actually looks like the pictures. On top of that you can find everything you need in the apartment to include soap and coffee. For everything else there is a convenient store 3 meters away from the the front door. The mattress in the master bedroom is great. The pull out out sofa is ok, our 9 yr had no problems but someone older (and heavier, like me) might not enjoy it much. The night life is fantastic and you can't get any closer to it. So here is what we didn't know and it has nothing to do with the host. The house is about 25 meters from Campo di Fiori. Fiori is an an awesome square bustling with life and excitement 20 hours a day. This is great in the morning for us. Restaurants open early and serve breakfast, there is a large flower market and a bazaar that is open daily. It is also bustling at night. All the coolest bars full of college kids and 20 somethings partying and socializing and singing. You can't miss it. If you are ok with the night life scene or want the night life then this is YOUR spot. You wouldn't even have to use the bathroom in the bar, you could just stroll home for 2 minutes. The closest bar is 2 doors down and the square is 3 more doors past that with at least 6 bars/restaurants to chose from. The bottom line is the apartment is loud until about 2am. Don't schedule any early tours. The police are supposed to manage the rowdy crowds but none were there our first night and we didn't know to call them. At one point the first night The kids were actually sitting on our stoop and one of them even threw up on the steps. About 1am I went down and ran them off the porch then walked to the square to see all the excitement for myself and snap some pics. If I was 21, I would have been right there partying. I'm not 21 so watching kids (a lot of Americans, btw) practice how to not not handle their alcohol very well and show out was not impressive. The combination of testosterone , pheromones and axe body spray was overwhelming. It was slightly quieter the second night (Saturday) but we took the sofa mattress and moved it to the back room which is a bit quieter with the door closed. We could also hear the neighbors tv and conversations once the outside party died down. Overall, excellent host, excellent house, but if you are looking turn in and get some sleep before 1 or 2 am this may not be your location. Otherwise this is is perfect. I also recommend eating dinner at Ditirambo (Carlo's recommendation to us). Make a reservation. It's very close and was the best meal we had in Rome.

Response from Carlo:
Dear Marc, as I have said to you in person, I'm sorry for the inconvenience about the drunk guys. But I would not want anyone who reads your review get an idea of the house untruthful. Accidents like yours were never successful to guests before you. No reviews of my guests before you talak about it Furthermore the bedroom is really quiet at any hour of the night because it is in the inner part of the house. Dual fully glass of windows absorb the noises and you can sleep peacefully. If you read the many reviews that precede your own you will realize that what I say is confirmed by the guests who have stayed in my house before you. As for the sofa bed and sleep the actual stay may happen that at the weekend you can hear noises from the street. E 'a feature of the neighborhood. However the double glazing to absorb windows much noise, although not completely. About the sofa bed can assure you that we have stayed many adults, even bigger than you and no one has found it inconvenient. Do not you think before you say it is uncomfortable you should sleep at least one night? Excuse me for pointing this out, but this is my job and it is important that the image of my house is the best reflects reality. Thanks anyway for your long and careful review. It will need to improve service for customers who come after you.
