Stays between 2 nights and 1 week - short notice is fine. No security deposit, flexible cancellation, well behaved dog welcome and flexible check in and out times.

Guest access

Your own cottage without owner interaction unless you would like it. After booking acceptance, we will post directions etc on the Airbnb booking thread approx 24 hours before your arrival. Interaction with guests

There is information in the cottage, of things to do and see in the area. The cottage suits a self-sufficient couple who like their own space - popular with wedding guests and visitors attending concerts at Snape Maltings etc. Bed will be made up, towels, shampoo and loo roll provided.

Other things to note

The cottage is at the upper end of the village, set back on the B road into Orford. You can park in our front garden or on the School Lane opposite. There is lots of space in the garden for bikes etc. The cottage has its own internet connection - access code in the file in cottage.
The cottage is a 3 minute walk to the village square and 7 minute walk to the quay. There is a playing field opposite (across the road) which leads to Orford Castle and the School Lane opposite the cottage (across the road) leads straight into the forest with miles of walks.

Being regular visitors to Orford, it's always fun to try something different, so we booked the bank holiday at Jenny' cottage. So glad we did, as it's a marvellous relaxing escape from London. It had all the privacy, space and amenities two people could need. The sofa and bed are heavenly to sleep on! We had planned to do lots of walking but instead spent plenty of time relaxing, reading some of the plethora of books available ( alas I only got to book 5 in the Unfortunate Series of Events) and listening to the cds. It's only a hop, skip and jump in to the heart of Orford and all that this wonderful village has to offer. Thoroughly recommend to everyone and hope we get to spend a bit longer here next time.

Jenny's place is perfect for exploring this beautiful part of Suffolk and also perfect if like us you just want to relax for a few days and explore Orford with its gorgeous walks and food. This is a little piece of loveliness where you can drop off the world for a few days and relax. Thank you Jenny.

This is a lovely, cosy cottage and we had a very restful time in it. It is very comfortable with a good firm mattress. It is a great location for each access to the village, pier and surrounding countryside.

Lovely place, perfect for 2. Short walk to the quay. Both pubs very nice and an excellent meal at the Butley oysterage restaurant in the square. Orford is very pretty and well worth a visit.

What a lovely little cottage; just the perfect space to spend a few days. Jenny left quite a few goodies for us around the kitchen and lounge which was lovely as was the card welcoming us. The most comfortable mattress ensures very good nights' sleep, the kitchen is very well-equipped (there's even a NutriBullet!), and what we also loved was that there was an amazing array of books on the shelves in lounge and bedroom. Breakfast in the sun just outside the cottage's front door was a lovely way to start the day! Orford is a beautiful village. Make sure to have dinner at the Oysterage and buy fresh fish from the hut down by the riverside. The café next to it serves good breakfast and sarnies. There are plenty of good walks to be had straight from the cottage, or a short drive away. Brilliant!
