About this listing
Nestled in Maple Grove, a small gated community, this home is steps away from the lake. You will have the use of a dock & boat launch, private community beach, & a beautiful view of the lake from the house. You will have a relaxed, refreshing time!
Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom with a queen is upstairs, and the other two bedrooms are downstairs. One downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, and the third room is set up as a bunk room for kids with two sets of bunk beds. The top bunks are twins and the bottom bunks are doubles. If you are a coffee drinker, we have a Keurig available for you to use. Bring your favorite K-Cups, or ground coffee to brew using our re-usable filter. If you have a few K-Cups remaining at the end of your stay, is always fun to surprise the next guests and leave them a little treat!
If you have little ones you don't have to worry about packing up your whole house, we have a lot of things available for you to use. You can count on a pack and play, a high chair that clips onto the table, baby gates in the garage that pop into brackets at the top and bottom of the stairs, a toddler potty, a Bumbo multi-seat that can attach to a chair to be used as a booster for a toddler, add in the newborn insert for it to be used like a traditional infant bumbo floor seat, or pop on the snack tray for meals. In the downstairs bathroom you will find a baby bath seat under the sink and even some bath toys! There is also an assortment of toys, games, and books for the little ones as well. Bringing a baby doesn't mean you are stuck inside while everyone else enjoys the great outdoors, we have a pop-up sun shade for baby that you can take down to the waterfront area and a great hiking backpack in case you hit the nearby trails. You are welcome to use whatever you need!
You will have access to the entire house including the hot tub in the back and a propane bbq. As a guest in the gated community, you will have access to the boat launch and the beach/swimming area. If you bring jet skis, paddle boards, or any other water sport items, the entire lake is your playground! While we do have our own boat slip out on the community docks, please let us know ahead of time if you will be bringing a boat or jet skis or anything that you would need to keep at our spot. The spots are numbered and assigned to each homeowner so we would need to give you more information about that and be sure that we don't have anything in the water at our slip during your stay.
Interaction with guests
Feel free to contact me if there is a concern during your stay.
Other things to note
This is a non-smoking, no pets rental. There are stairs, so if those will be difficult for anyone in your group you will want to take that into consideration when booking. This house is not on the water, but across the street behind it. It makes it especially safe for young children since you won't have to worry about them having the lake right out the front door. We are an "un-plugged" house, no TV or internet. It is a great way to disconnect from the outside world, and spend quality time connecting with friends and family!
We have white bath towels available for you to use inside, and they will be washed after you check out by our housecleaning staff. We also have blue beach towels that you can use down at the lake, but it is your responsibility to wash and dry them and put them back as you found them. Please wash and dry no more than six beach towels at a time. If any number of beach towels are left dirty, whether it is 1 or 12, $50 will be taken out of your damage deposit to pay the housekeeper for the additional laundry time since they will need to be taken from the house to be washed and dried. There is just enough time to clean the whole house, change and wash all the bedding, wash all the regular white bath towels, etc. between checkout at 10:00 and check-in at 4:00. There isn't time for additional beach towel washing. So in looking for a solution that would make it so you would not have to pack beach towels from home, and we would not have to make checkout time earlier or check-in time later to allow for additional laundry time, we arrived at this compromise. Thank you for your cooperation!
• Check-in time is 4PM.
• Check-out time is 10AM.
Please contact us prior to instant booking a same day request. We can almost always accommodate a same day booking request if the calendar shows availability, but we do have to check with our housekeeping staff first. We are really good about getting back to you quickly, so just send a message with your request and we will get back to you right away.
If you are planning an event/party of some kind, please run your plans past us before booking, thank you!
Welcome to Casa del Lago!
We hope your stay here will be enjoyable and relaxing. The following are some things you should know to help make your stay here go smoothly.
Our home sleeps 12, 6 in the bunk room, 2 in each of the other bedrooms, and 2 on the hide a bed in the living room if you need it. To use the hide a bed, push it towards the sliding glass door, and push the coffee table all the way to the other couch. You will then have room to open the hide a bed. Linens for the bed are in the closet between the upstairs bedroom and bathroom. There are also extra linens for the other beds in case you need them.
To enter Maple Grove you will need to wave the white key card at the key pad to open the gate. For entry into Maple Grove upon your arrival, you will need to call us from the gate to let you in. When you pull up to the keypad, press the A or Z button repeatedly until you see Casa del Lago. Press call when you are at Casa del Lago and it will call my phone. I will verify that you are the person checking in, and then I will buzz you in and the gate will open. At the T in the road, go to the right and follow the road down towards the lake until you get to house number 471. You will then be able to enter your four digit code on the garage keypad and enter the house through the garage. The keys will be left for you on the kitchen counter so you will not need to enter through the garage each time. The code on the garage will not be changed by the cleaning staff until check-in time, so please do not come before 4:00 PM. Check out is 10:00 AM. We cannot offer late check out because our cleaning staff will arrive promptly at 10:00 to get the house ready for the next guests. If you would like to stay the whole day, you will need to reserve that night ahead of time. Please leave all keys and key cards on the kitchen counter when you check out. There will be a $25 fee for lost keys and a $50 fee for lost key cards.
The living room and upstairs bedroom both have ceiling fans. You can pull on the two chains to slow or speed up the speed, or to turn the light on and off. During the warmer days we like to run the fans without the light and have the windows open. In the colder months you may want to turn on the heaters. Each room has a thermostat that will turn on the heaters. The fan in the upstairs bathroom will turn on and off automatically, but you can also manually turn it on when you shower.
Bath towels are on the upper shelves in the bathrooms, and hand towels and washcloths are in the vanity drawers. There are hooks on the towel shelves so that you can save your towel for the next time you use it. Please help us conserve water by hanging your towel up to dry to reuse if it isn't dirty. Please do not take white bath towels down to the lake. If you use the blue beach towels, please wash them (no more than six at a time) and replace them as you found them. At the end of your stay, please leave all dirty towels in the downstairs bathtub.
Should garbage cans become full during your stay you can either take them to the dumpster in the parking lot by the picnic area, or put the bags in the garbage can in the garage. In the hall closet is the highchair that attaches to the table. The pack and play is in the upstairs bedroom closet along with some sleeping bags and board games.
Many vacationers prefer to use disposable plates, silverware, and cups so they can spend their time relaxing, but we do have the real stuff on hand available for you to use. Please wash your dishes and put them away where you found them. On the morning you check out, please start the dishwasher with whatever dirty dishes you have left and the cleaning staff will put them away.
In our kitchen there are the regular dishes, but also a blender, electric griddle, and toaster. These can be found in the cabinets. We also have a Keurig on the coffee bar next to the sliding glass door. If you are using it, please be sure it does not run out of water. You will want to bring your own K-cups of your favorite blend. If you have a few leftover, leaving them makes for a fun surprise for the next guests!
There is a bbq for use in the garage. Please wheel it out into the driveway during its use. BBQ tools can be found in the cupboard that is below the counter in the dining room where the bar stools are. Please clean the bbq if you use it so it is ready for the next guests. $50 will be deducted from your deposit if the bbq is not cleaned.
The hot tub in the back is available for your use. Following usage directions will ensure safe hot-tubbing for you and your family. When you use the hot tub, please add 1 ½ teaspoons of chlorine once everyone is out. This should be done as often as the hot tub is used. If you use it once a day, it will only need to be done once. If you use it five times in a day, it will need to be done each time you exit the hot tub. The chlorine is in the garage on the dryer. Please clean off your feet before entering the hot tub so the outdoors doesn't enter with you.
The house has a boat slip, if you are planning on bringing a boat, jet skis, or any other watercraft that will require the use of our slip, please let me know when booking. I will need to provide you with the slip number and also be sure that we don't have anything parked there during your stay.
Please remember you booked a stay at a non-smoking and pet-free house. Because of allergy reasons, we ask that you abide by these guidelines.
