The view on the 'grande canale' is amazing. The location is unique. The apartment is perfect for 5 persons. A lot of light. A lot of space. The communication with the hostess went very smoothly and was helpful. We had a wonderful stay. Many thanks.

We only have positive things to say about the apartment! Guidecca is a perfect island if you want something a bit more quiet and local alternative. The pictures are a good representation of the apartment, and we had a splendid time there. Great location on the island!

Darling space, away from the tourists areas and easy to get to. You do hear the Vaporetto as the stop is close (which is also accessible)!

If you are looking for a house with a view, rather than just 'a room with a view' (nice film!), this is the place for you! You open the shutters in the morning and the first thing you see is the Palazzo Ducale and the tower on Piazza San Marco on the other side of the water, it's magical! The house itself is large and roomy and has nice furnature in it, comfortable beds, marble bathrooms with loads of towels, good kitchen. We very much appreciated the vast amount of nice art that is hanging on the walls throughout the whole house. La Giudecca is very calm and peaceful and has some nice restaurants and a few nice shops, cafés, bakeries and groceries. The vaporetto takes you to either San Marco or Zattere in minutes, so if you want you can cross to all the touristic highlights in no time. We loved living on the other side though. I would definately go back to this wonderful place whenever I would be back in Venice, eventhough I think the house is a little too expensive.

The apartment and area were just as described & presented in the listing, the photos don't do it justice, the views are amazing & Guidecca Island is charming and an easy 10 minute trip into St Marks Square from the Vaporetto outside the door. The apartment is beautifully presented, is light and airy & has everything you could need for a great stay, we felt very at home. There is a supermarket and chemist next door. The Vaporetto outside is a bit noisy but we quickly got used to it. The island is not crowded, there are some lovely cafes & restaurants along the waterfront and some interesting art exhibitions including a Helmut Newton one while we there. Hotel Cipriani and the Hilton are at opposite ends of the island and are nice to pop into for a cocktail. Communication was easy with Dorotea and Marta & everything worked according to plan, Marta booked us a water taxi from the airport which was a great recommendation and well worth the money. I would recommend this property to others & if we find ourselves in Venice again would re-book it.

Great view on the palacio ducale and great light. Vaporetto stop immediatly outside so very easy to get everywhere 24/7. Less tourists on this side so definitly an authentic local feeling.
