Solid house with spacious rooms in the interior, deep in the forests, surrounded by high trees, behind the backyard a river with clean water, which supplies the water for the house, so you never run out of water, which is an advantage during the peak seasons when others lack water.
Messina, the owner, was very friendly, gave great tips and showed plenty of pictures, so finding the house was no problem at all.
The house features all facilities you need to have for a longer stay, kitchen supplies, beach chairs, beach ball, table games, mosquito nets for the beds.
Unfortunatley the house doesn´t have mosquito-nets at the windows, so you depend on the mosquito nets of the beds, which are relatively small and not suited for taller people. E.g. over 1.80m. There is a fresh wind going during night, but opening the windows (bedrooms are on the 1st floor)
The house was relatively clean, but we had to clean all the floors, and especially the mosquito nets which were really dirty. Due to high humidity plenty of cushions and the duvets were mouldy, so it is best you bring your own bed equipment.
The beach is a 25min car drive away, on the way you pass several small supermarkets that supply food, wine, beer, water, sun creme and anti-mosquito-sprays. A couple of houses in the vicinity, but everyone is really laid-back.
In sum: Great for people who love nature, silence and peace, cooking, lazy days, and can handle mosquitos and the summer heat (32 degrees Celcius on new years eve).
Be aware of the fact that your car could get scratched at the bottom (we scratched every day) from the bumpy stoney street that leds to the house. Crossing the river with the car is a little adventure or fun factor as you like. In general the driver should be experienced with taking muddy, stoney streets and for our VW Jetta and 4 people inside, it was a problem to avoid touching the bigger stones.
