Everything was exactly as mentioned on Wietske´s profile. We visited in the beginning of october, so in the evening/ at night the oven didn´t heat up the whole house, but that was no problem as it makes it even more comfortable to sit around the warm oven. Really charming little house, enough space to cook, good base for a daytrip to Borkum- we had a great weekend!

We had a great stay in that little house. The living room/kitchen was roomy with a few sofas, we slept really well and we enjoy the wood stove. The back of the house is lovely and quiet for meals and the bikes are working well. We took walks on the sea front (you need to drive or take the train/bikes for that) went to some islands (fantastic) or just went around in the Friesland countryside biking. There is even a bio shop in the village and of course a supermarket (walking distance if you don't have a car) Wietske and her daughter are really friendly and ready to give you all kind tips and help. The train station is quite near but actually not invasive and disturbing (at first I was nervous about that but it was not necessary, it blends in) We would go back again! thank you for everything!

We had a very nice time at the house. Wietske is a lovely and very kind host and was always very helpful (especially showing us how to get the fire in the tile stove working :-) The furniture in the house is very nice chosen. Everywhere the pattern of red ground and white dots (my favorite one!). And the tile stove is wonderful. We sat every evening in front of it and enjoyed the heat. There are two bikes going with the house and so we made a little bike tour (on thing you definitely have to do, because there are so many wonderful bike lanes). A cock woke us early in the morning (a very unfamiliar sound for town people), so you might take some ear plugs or enjoy the farm feeling. The railway station is not so far, but I didn't mind the noise coming from the trains and the crossing. We can definitely recommend Wietke's house on the edge of the village! Enjoy your stay there and thank you Wietske for everything! :-)
