The space

The apartment has been beautifully renovated and decorated to give a sense of space and light. It has all the modern features, accessories and appliances for comfortable living. It has simultaneously a peaceful and luxurious feeling to it.

Guest access

The best way to access to flat is from Antwerp Road. The road ends in a Cul de Sac and there is a black gate which leads to the bottom entrance of the flats. The property's grounds and the apartment are fully available to guests staying in the apartment.

Interaction with guests

I will be there with information and guidance before guests arrive, meet guests on arrival and always at the end of the phone for any assistance needed, but other than that guests can settle in feel they are at home!

The neighbourhood

Sea Point is a neighbourhood that buzzes with life. The beach front area has a fabulous strip for walking and running right along the ocean. Along the promenade are restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Along Main Road and Regent Road in Sea Point are most of the shops for groceries, clothing, interior and gift items as well as many more restaurants and bars.

Getting around

Parking is always challenging in Cape Town. I more often than not use my Uber taxi app to get around. It's affordable, quick and reliable. But the Golden Arrow and Myciti buses are also easy to find to and from most popular destinations. The apartment does not have its own parking. If hiring a car there are two street along which there is parking available - Ocean View Drive and Antwerp Road. I usually use Antwerp road as there are less steps (lazy me!).

Other things to note

South Africa is way behind first world countries with internet speed, availability and price. We do have WiFi available in the apartment but due to the prohibitive cost of unlimited data we provide a certain amount; more than enough for regular use; but not enough for big downloads or video streaming. If this is essential for you, we are more than happy to purchase extra data for you, but it will be at your own expenses.
You have 500 megs allocated to you per day. If you need to use more than this it is at a cost R150 per additional gig of data and you can leave cash on departure for that.

Thekla is very nice and endeavored! The apartment is situated in a very good and safe location. Unfortunately, there was a construction site in the adjoining building starting drilling and hammering in the morning most of the days we were staying there.

Thekla is a great host. Both our guests' stay as well as flexible time of arrival and generous departure time were no problem. The beautiful and spacious apartment is super location and thekla was in all very hard endeavor. We were 2 weeks there and felt very comfortable and safe.

What a stunning place in the centre of Cape Town. The beautifully decorated house has a great view and is in a safe area with shops and restaurants closeby. Communication was was easy and fast. Recommended!

Thekla's apartment was perfect for my my break from a grueling business trip. Clean, warm, welcoming and comfortable. Perfectly equipped and even stocked with goodies to eat so I didn't have go out to get food immediately. Great View too. I Highly recommend.
