Situated on a citrus and olive farm, right by the sea and with magnificent views to Poros island, this fairytale-like cottage will enchant you! Decorated by a renowned local designer, this idyllic place is perfect for tranquil holidays.

The space
The cottage is situated at the end of the privately owned citrus and olive tree farm, right by the sea and about 300m from the main gate, offering an unhindered view to Poros island, which you can admire from a spacious terrace. The interiors are beautifully designed in Greek rustic chic style by a locally renowned designer. The peacefulness and tranquility of the place will allow you to properly unwind and relax.

Guest access
The cottage is situated 300m from the main house. You get access to the farm itself, which includes direct sea access with a mini beach. You can go swimming anytime you wish. About 100m from the cottage, hidden among olive trees, there are 3 premium tents (glamping style), which also get rented to guests. Guests from the tents also have access to the beach and make use of the outdoors bathrooms located in the vicinity of the tents. The property is big enough for all of you to have enough privacy, but you might run into each other on the beach or on the farm.

The owner of the farm, Katerina, is a talented chef and also the owner of a bistro and boutique hotel on Poros, where she gives fabulous cooking classes. She lives in the main house together with her Dutch husband Rik and is happy to assist you with anything you need.

Other things to note
Every now and then Katerina and Rik organise a barbecue for the guests of their boutique hotel on Poros. On such occasion you will be invited to join them, free of charge, and enjoy delicious, Greek dishes, local wine and maybe even some Greek dancing :-) Of course you don't have to if you don't feel like it. You need to know though that such barbecue get togethers take place close to the cottage (there is an outdoors area with an oven, a barbecue and some tables and chairs near the cottage). You will probably end up loving the event as you will taste some fantastic local dishes and make some new friends in an authentic Greek atmosphere :-)

Location

Poros, Attica, Greece

The property is located in the old Galatas, which consists of old style Greek houses and large farms. You can take a walk to town on the main street (there is only one road going there so you can't get lost) or by the sea, more romantic choice :-)

There is a number of beaches available on the Galatas (mainland) side as well as on Poros island (ask us for more details).
For those looking for more activities, there is plenty available in the area: sailing, kayaking, diving, snorkeling, water sports, swimming, cycling, cooking or weaving classes. We can also provide detailed information about nearby sites that are worthwhile visiting like: Hydra, Spetses, Methana, Nafplio, Nemea wine region (we can arrange a wine tasting tour), Ancient Mycenae, Ancient Theatre of Epidavros (ask us for the theatre play schedule) to mention a few.

I'm a Polish girl currently living in the countryside in the Peloponnese, Greece. Together with my Greek partner, we decided to leave our corporate, well paid jobs in Johannesburg, South Africa for the love of nature, locally grown food and people-centred experiences. That is how our company, Live-Bio, was created. Apart from running our own, eco-friendly holiday destination, we decided to help others manage their properties throughout Greece (& beyond) and by doing so, create a network of trusted places to visit in this beautiful country. Even though I'm a Pole, I'm a citizen of the world. Having lived in Poland, Mexico, South Africa and now Greece, I learned a lot about various cultures, customs and ways of doing business. My studies in International Relations and knowledge of foreign languages (Polish, English, Spanish, French and a little bit of Greek) were a great help too. I used to sell and manage properties in all the above mentioned countries. My openness and love for people's interaction helped me develop many friendships around the world. Meeting people is a great passion of mine! After it comes travelling :-) I was lucky enough to visit almost all continents, numerous countries, cities, villages, islands. Travelling helped me better understand the needs of holiday makers and the tourism industry itself. Together with my partner we build close relationships with the owners of the properties we manage and would love to do the same with the guests visiting them! We are always open to spend time with you over dinner, share a bottle of wine and a good conversation. We also invite you to try various activities with us such as sailing, cycling, kayaking, cooking classes, weaving workshops, wine tasting and culinary tours. And if you like culture, we can recommend a good theatre play, concert, photo gallery or art exhibition. We believe in "travelling through experience" and we want you to be part of it. Our motto: "Who lives sees much, who travels sees more".

During your stay
That is entirely up to you. The space gives a lot of privacy and independence. For any questions or simply if you wish for a conversation, you are welcome to speak to the owners, Katerina and Rik, who live in the main house (they speak perfect English, Dutch and Greek). You can also interact with guests that stay in the glamping style tents. Who knows, they might become your new friends :-)

Katerina and Rick own and manage The Odyssey Centre, a bistro and boutique hotel on Poros. You are more than welcome to visit them for a delicious, homemade breakfast or dinner. You can also take part in cooking classes organised by Katerina. She is a magnificent chef and can teach you some fantastic, authentic Greek food recipes (ask me for pricing and details).
