"Very lovingly done "home away from home." Our first trip to Nova Scotia has been wonderful. Thank you for your hospitality." (Janet and Dennis, Pittsburgh, PA.)

"We drove up and my daughter said, "Mum we've died and gone to heaven! It truly is a lovely place and we enjoyed our stay. Except for some fog, everything was perfect. Thanks!" (Margie, Carlisle, Mass.)

This cottage was so lovely to stay in. What a retreat! Colorfilled gardens, comfy wicker chairs on the deck for reading books, and our hostess let us in on the best things to do. Beaches nearby, a great bakery, art everywhere... we want to come backAgain soon.

We had the BEST month at Phyllis' place. I can't say enough good things about our awesome new friends Phyllis and Eric as well as the Broad Cove community in general. It's a great place to spend if you are looking for some peace and quiet in an area that is rural and vibrant.

I am a long term resident of Broad Cove (36 years), a proud Nova Scotian who recognizes, celebrates and savours the fact that we live in a special part of the world. I am recently retired from my work as a health promoter with Public Health Services, Nova Scotia Health. Passions include textile art, organic gardening, cycling, and good food. I love the community and landscape of the beautiful part of Nova Scotia that we live in, and, when asked, like to help visitors discover its many pleasures.

A life motto? While there are many sayings I love, I have "carpe diem" embroidered on a jacket and painted on a wall, so I guess that would have to be it.
