The house is a typical example of a popular Napolitan house, as well as the neighborhood that surrounds it. The passage of time is visible, but is clearly counterbalanced by the warmness and hospitality of the hosts. Be prepared for a wonderful panorama of the city and the golf of Napoli from the spacious terrace!
Risilla is a lovely host. She was waiting for us at the street, showed us her creative place and we felt immediately at home. The view from here terrace is amazing!!! We stayed also a second night after the time in the nature at the amalfi coast because we felt so good at her place and especially because of her! Thanks Risilla for the good time in Napoli :)
I would definitely recommend staying elsewhere. The apartment was disgustingly filthy. Her *six* cats ate their (liquid) cat food off the kitchen floor, the entire place reeked of cat litter, the washing machine had black smudge in the detergent slot. There was no ceiling light in the room, and the provided desk lamp burned out during the first night of our stay. Windows didn't shut properly in the room as well as in the ensuite bathroom (which was out of order). The shower didn't have any curtains, so the water just went on the floor, and there was nothing to hold the shower head so you had to hold it yourself. The host, although fine at first, was a bit off-putting and kept rambling about her cats. Every time we asked a question, she'd answer a completely different question. We were incredibly happy to leave, it has been the worst stay of our 3 months of travelling (including cheap, poorly rated hostels in Asia). I wouldn't stay here unless it was really just for a place to sleep for one night, and even then you could definitely find better.
