I am a retired journalist and TV producer who decided 12 years ago to retire to France. And I have never regretted it. After a hectic life meeting deadlines all over the world, including working in war zones like Bosnia, I now have a little bit of paradise to share with my animals and my friends. I work in the community as a municipal councillor and for cat welfare, I make home decor items to sell at markets and I take a few students for English lessons. Apart from that I ride my horse on the local trails, I enjoy my garden and I explore the local historical sites. I have an international circle of friends, and when I have time I love to read historical novels and to cook with the wonderful local ingredients. For 8 years now I have welcomed people as paying guests and I love meeting people from many different places and sharing experiences. You are never too old to learn something new!

During your stay

Nine years here has given me an extensive knowledge of the local area and its history which I love to share with guests. I live next door and am always on hand. I speak English and French and am happy to help with booking restaurants and activities. Children will enjoy my ponies (rides are possible!) and cats. In season there are fruit and vegetables from the garden to share and I always offer some of my home-made jam.
I always leave a selection of books in English and French. Guests are welcome to browse and borrow books, and even exchange their own finished books with ones from my shelves!
