This is a lovely place to stay for your visit to Bergen. You get a traditional wooden Bergen house all by yourself, plenty of room for a family or 2 couples. A very nice and quiet area, walking distance to the centre, everything you need. The house was very clean and well kept, David (host) was easy to get in touch with and responsive, no snags at all. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who want another experience than another ordinary hotelroom. I did not stay in the house myself, but used it as accommodation for visitors working for our company, and they were very happy to stay here. To me the house looked ideal, and I would be glad to live here myself. For a visit to Bergen more than a couple of days for more than two: I don´t think you will find a better option.

We had a wonderful stay in Bergen at David's beautiful apartment - it is a perfectly renovated historic home in the old neighborhood by the water and an ideal walking location for nearly anything you might want to see in the city. The apartment was immaculate and a perfect place to stay for the whole family giving all of us enough space to settle in and enjoy our stay.

David's apartment is a PERFECT base for Bergen. Newly renovated, it is clean, elegant, and extremely peaceful -- the quietude, especially, was a blessing after many days of traveling via noisy inns and hotels. As a family of three (2 adults and 1 child), we appreciated the set-up: bedrooms and bathroom and an alcove for clothing/suitcases, etc., on the first floor, and kitchen and dining area and living area (all open) on the second floor -- one person was able to hang out and eat while someone else slept without any trouble. Meanwhile, the neighborhood is very cool; artsy, surrounded by the water, defined by cobblestone streets and old, tiny homes. Better still, it's a stone's throw from the central districts, no more than a 10-min. walk. We were SOOO happy to be staying just outside of those districts, rather than amidst the throngs of tourists. Lastly, David and Ellen were very helpful and responsive, and our travel was made easier by their rapid replies to our questions. Highly recommended!

Wonderful location--easy walk to everything, charming neighborhood. The Kipper restaurant at USF is a short walk, and a wonderful place for drinks or meals by the water, in the sunshine. House is very well equipped, including greater Wi-fi. David and Elin made it all very easy. Thanks!

Our guest was very reactive and present as we needed. The house is nicer than what we expected by looking at photos. It is brand new and with lot of space. From the house, we had to walk 10mn to get to the town center, but it was OK for us (going up and down...). The harbor is 10mn away, a supermarket opend up to 23pm is near. The location is very quiet. This is an excellent house to stay to visit Bergen. The only point in Bergen is that you cannot park your car, you have to go the a public car park (22€/day). At least, with this house it is possible to access it to download bags. Excellent experience !
