The bedrooms are all lockable. There is off road parking at the side of the house.

Interaction with guests

We're here for you as much or as little as required - were friendly and welcoming and love to host.

The neighbourhood

It's a great base for Exeter, the coast and the moors. 10 minutes into town centre by car or bus which runs every 20 minutes. Its an old Farmhouse but not in a countryside setting anymore as Exeter has grown around it but it's still a beautiful house and garden with another Thatched farmhouse on the opposite side of the road. There is a busy Spar shop 5 minutes away on foot that sells alcohol and snacks, a Lidl supermarket 10 minutes away on foot and also a great pub called the New Inn less than 5 minutes away that does great food.

Getting around

It is great hub for getting into Exeter Central, the coast, Dartmoor and Cornwall. It's £7 to get into town by taxi or the regular every 20 minute bus service is £3.80 return on an all day travel card.

Other things to note

There is a Parsons Jack Russell and a Miniature Schnauzer on the premises - they are very friendly but will bark when you knock on the door!

Marcus's place is just stunning and he is an equally brilliant host. The house is perfectly positioned for popping into Exeter or visiting the Jurassic Coast. We were made very welcome by him and the dogs, Max and Jack, given a guided tour of his beautiful home and had breakfast made on the Aga both mornings. Scrambled eggs and rye bread toast to die for. Our room was huge with a massive bed and luscious marble en-suite with slipper bath. If you're coming to Exeter, do not miss this treat of a B&B, you will not be disappointed. It's incredible value for money and leaves you wishing you could stay longer. Highly recommended- thank you Marcus for a memorable weekend.

A beautiful home, the photos really don't do it justice even though they look pretty good, you certainly won't be disappointed. Don't normally eat cooked breakfast but the Greek yoghurt with freshly cut strawberries and grapes was a delicious alternative, a lot of care and attention applied to everything, you can tell Marcus enjoys sharing his home. Only stayed one night so it was a shame it was such a short stay.

Marcus's place is great, he and David have done a fantastic conversion to the house and the result is great, you can appreciate the listed building and the interior design that they added fits to perfection, limestone floors, marble in the bathrooms, the kitchen, bedrooms and lounges are all magazine quality. Marcus was an excellent host and breakfast was beautiful. Highly recommended
