Beautiful cabin located walking distance from the lake and a little over a mile from town. Cabin was spacious and welcoming for our yearly family gathering. Would definitely stay here again!

Place looks just as advertised. A pleasant place in the mountains to stay with polite neighbors. Everything was included from toilet paper to towels. Showers were newly updated. Bathrooms were immaculately. Would definitely consider coming back again next time I'm in big bear.

It is definitely a rustic cabin which is what I was expecting. The beds were comfy and the main room was excellent for doing puzzles and relaxing. The shutters for all of the bedrooms were broken (half weren't even on the windows) and there weren't curtains, so the sun came in bright and early. The patio was delightful, but looking a little worn. The rugs are old and stained, but everything was well cleaned up and vacuumed. Check in instructions were not clear. Bobby was able to be reached via text, which I only found out after trying all other methods. With the windows open the temperature was perfect in the cabin, but it definitely needed some airing out when we got there. There were limited old towels to use, so you may want to bring your own (which I've never had to do at an airbnb). The hot tub had a funky smell and doesn't look like it has been well maintained - we didn't even try to use it. We had a small group (3 of us), but the place can easily fit 7 or 8. The bathrooms were nicely updated, but heads up, the house is old with short ceilings and tight stairwells and tall people will definitely have to crouch in the shower. (Perfect for someone who is 5'4"!)

Only one big complaint... ANTS. Couldn't leave your plate or drink on any counters for more than 2 minutes without ants coming from all directions. Even with this issue, my friends and I had a wonderful time in this cabin. It was one step above glamping, we loved the rustic feel & didn't mind the super thin walls and doors that don't stay closed. Don't get this cabin if you're looking for a luxurious place to stay. The cedar hot tub was definitely the best part. Probably won't return just because of the ants but overall we had a great time.

This place was filthy and covered in ants when we arrived. My 4 year old found a pair of women's panties in the common area. Kitchen was disgusting! Dishwasher, stove and oven was DISGUSTING and hasn't been cleaned in god knows how long! I have pics of all of these items. The inside of the cabin looks NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES ON THE WEBSITE! You will be required to remove trash at end of rental but I ended up taking ours AND the last renters because it wasn't done (have pictures of this also). The "cedar spa" was exactly that BUT it was halfway empty upon arrival. Spent over an hour filing it to a usable level. Cigarette butts all over the patio (great environment for 4 & 2 year old). We came up here for my wife's birthday weekend and left completely disgusted and itching! Do yourself a favor and pass on this one. Yes the cabin was originally built in 1920 but that is no excuse for the filth, bugs, trash, disgusting kitchen, full trash can, etc. I will find a way to post the pictures so customers can see what they are really getting into. Defiantly not worth 390 for two nights!
