There are amazing walks/ runs/ cycle routes around the area, as well as Quad biking, white water rafting, highland castle tours, and talks on whisky and Scottish history.

Castle Menzies also does paranormal investigation tours - if your interested I can contact my father who runs Menzies Castle and see when the next tour will be coming up.

This is a new add - I will add more later. Feel free to contact me with any specific queries. We will of course be happy to make some recommendations to enhance your time with us :)

Your visit to Highland Perthshire should be safe and unique: Specifically tailored to your requirements... with, of course, enough space for the pleasurably unexpected. Allowing serendipity space to enter the equation ;) Why? Because happy coincidences and unexpected pleasures is what I leave myself open to when I take a holiday; when I take a breakaway or stay overnight on business. I look for the detail and connection that makes me want to slow down and take notice. And in that slowing down to lose myself; and along with that loss, divest myself of worries and concerns .... A Tiny bit about me: I am an outgoing, enthusiastic and inherently curious person. And it is in this spirit, resonant in this tone, that I work as a designer, tradesman, half baked writer and Airbnb host. I find myself possessing a positive perspective. A notion that the world is truly the most superb place conceivable - limited only by our motivation, and that which we imbue, curtail, and as such, share or impose on others... I believe ( and I hope you do too) that we must taste and enjoy life in all its guises. That every moment can be embraced - even the sad or hard ones which inevitably come to us all eventually. Why? Because challenge and adversity eventually hone empathy into our core being. Pain makes us appreciate joy. Allows us to define happiness and as such discover what we are, and shape what we will become. Experiences, liaisons, and encounters are glittering chances to taste, feel and learn something more. So smile its never that bad; and even if it is, that moment or this, will soon pass - It's you, after all, that chooses how it is interpreted; as such why restrict yourself to being one thing? Why restrict yourself to negative outcomes. After all, what is life without hope... Our lives are rich stories, based, for the most part on our ability to envisage ideas and concepts that don't exist yet and then to attract the means to bring those visions into tangible reality. So best start dreaming, playing and doing... Subsequently: let's hope you have a good imagination -for although this may be a test. It's certainly not a dress rehearsal... WHAT I CANT LIVE WITHOUT? 1) A pencil and notebook 2) Eye contact..... 3) Hope and Enthusiasm - in the face of adversity 4) Food....especially Pommes mit Mayo and Bratwurst Style of travelling: Serendipity ( Embracing happy coincidence) GETTING TO KNOW YOU - As an individual To me, you are not just my guests - you are intelligent and wonderful people with unique life experiences, quirks, desires and needs. So, I feel, it is entirely your choice whether to interact or not during your stay. If you do choose to interact whether on a B&B (room rental basis) or a full cottage stay I can provide, or give access to other experiences and services. 1) Dinner - Main course and Dessert may be prepared for you and fellow guests on arrival: I find its always nice not to have to worry about food, or the dishes after a long journey. IF you feel the same - request a menu. If you wish, I can join you for dinner, to glean an insight into your interests, and supply suggestions, recommendations and introductions. To enhance your visit to Highland Perthshire - while creating a forum for an interface for cultural and social exchange - Be that to improve language skills or simply as part of a greater conversation... 2. Historical Tours - Historical tours may be organised to nearby Castle Menzies and other areas of historical and cultural interest, 3. Massage Therapy: I can offer deep tissue massage and a less intense and more relaxing (therapeutic massage) with an option to trigger ASMR (Autonomous sensory meridian response). A small consultation must take place before hand to establish your requirements and any underlying health conditions, and then establish specific areas which you might like me to focus upon. 4. Building Design Clinic - A design clinic can be offered to you - If your thinking about your own do it yourself extension or looking to commission an Architect/ Designer/ Building Contractor to undertake something more dramatic - From Refurbishment of a retail shop, conversion of a domestic dwelling or the design/ statutory approval and construction of a new build residential/ corporate/commercial/industrial site. Including developments associated with renewable power generation or infrastructure developments such as roads/ tracks/ bridges. 5. Camp skills. Learn how to establish your camp. Learn to put up a tent or temporary shelter, Dig a latrine, make a fire pit and respect the country code, prepare food, Fire a crossbow and cook in the open air and even make a small floating raft model sail down the local river. Immersing yourself in nature so you become part of it. My Life Motto: "Sola Virtus nobilitat" which means "Virtue alone enobles" - But don't get the wrong idea - I am no Angel ;)
