In the heart of Lyttelton township, Harbour Lodge's guests' accommodation, situated on the ground floor has approximately 200sq meters of living area and 200sq meters of outdoor deck, courtyard and covered patio areas for recreation, relaxation and sizzling barbeques. Lounge in soft leather couches and enjoy the peaceful setting or engage in lively conversations. Fabulous flow of movement between indoor and outdoor areas. The stunning open plan lounge boasts a fully equipped kitchen and intimate dining. Harbour Lodge is controlled by air conditioning for heating and cooling which allows for maximum comfort at all times.

Warm colours, soft carpeting, sheep skin rugs on leather couches, low lighting create an intimate ambiance. Entertainment is provided from the state of the art 70 inch smart television and a sophisticated surround sound system. Watch a movie, latest news, TV series or a sporting event from the channels of cable television.

Harbour Lodge is in a privileged position in more ways than one. From its vantage point on the harbour front, this setting offers spectacular nautical views. Enjoy views of both the sunrise and sunset across the harbour. Treat yourself to a scrumptious kiwi barbeque. Spacious wrap around decks provide ample space for enjoying the outdoors. Enjoy views as far as Quail Island, Diamond Harbour, yachts, tug boats, ferries, ships and cruise liners coming and going. On a cool evening, the romantic flicker of outdoor heating will enable you to enjoy the open air in comfort. This is the ideal location to have a glass of New Zealand wine and watch the sun set over the mountain ranges.
All guest rooms (25 sqm, per room) features contemporary comforts such as heaters, heated towel rails, hair dryers, plush towels, Egyptian cotton sheets and made in New Zealand wool duvets. Rooms open to wraparound decking areas. Harbour Lodge promotes the use of eco-friendly, made in New Zealand body cleanser and shampoo which is formulated from the latest generation of plant- based ingredients to gently cleanse and restore your hair, with no nasty chemicals.
Our rooms are named after the beaches in Banks Peninsula. Rimu is New Zealand native timber.

We have traveled extensively in New Zealand and overseas, we understand the importance of local advice to maximise your travel experience in Christchurch and other New Zealand destinations of your travels. We would love to share our kiwi culture and local knowledge with you.
For business accommodation, we have unlimited, high speed internet capabilities, board table, electronic whiteboard and printing facilities.
Lyttelton, a quaint historical town is 20 minutes drive south east from the Christchurch city center. The harbour was formed 11 million years ago when a massive volcano erupted and the sea filled the crater. Harbour Lodge offers you the unique experience of amazing sunrises, colourful sunsets and panaromic views of moving ships, ferries, boats and yachts.
A short stroll down the hill is local cafes, restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, library, art gallery and tourist attractions. Public transport is 10 minutes' walk away. We are 20 minutes to Christchurch central city and 35 minutes from Christchurch Airport. Local ski field Methven, natural hot springs Hanmer Springs and wineries are 1-1.5 hours' drive from Lyttelton.
Other things to note
We have two friendly dogs. A Beagle, Aaron and a Jack Russell, Dougal. These pets are not allowed indoors especially in guest rooms and guest lounges. Beware of puppy dog sad eyes, turned on to make you feel sorry for them.

We love to travel and I enjoy fishing, carpentry. motorbikes and watching movies. Some of our favourite travel destinations are South East Asia, the USA, France and Prague. I am a retired contractor in civil works and Jenny is a business consultant.
