Casa Roma is a recently restored townhouse situated in the historic old quarter of Vejer de La Frontera, just a 5 minute walk from the Plaza de Espana. It is an independent house with no shared spaces.

The space
Casa Roma is a recently restored townhouse situated in the historic old quarter of Vejer de La Frontera, on a pedestrian street just a 5 minute walk from the Plaza de Espana. Built over 3 levels with two fabulous terraces, it offers breathtaking views across the plains and sea to Morocco.
A large, sunny, open plan living-room contains a dining table, partly enclosed kitchen area and a huge comfy sofa. Patio doors open from the living room directly onto the main terrace where there is a shady pergola perfect for eating or siesta-ing under in the heat of the mid-day sun. A further dining table outside seats 6 comfortably. The top terrace, reached via a short flight of steps, is a veritable sun trap – perfect for serious sunbathing or for enjoying the last rays of sun with your evening sherry….. The position of the property; high up but on the outside of the Old Town means one benefits from the glorious evening breezes that blow in across the bays.
Downstairs there are 3 double bedrooms and a lovely cool sitting room with a TV. All are air-conditioned. There are two bathrooms: one, with a bath, serving the master bedroom, and another boasting a large walk-in shower.
MINIMUM STAY VARIES.
During the winter there is a surcharge of €10 per day for heating.
For stays longer than 10 days, there is a mid-stay cleaning charge of €90 per additional week.
CASA ROMA IS UNSUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS EXCEPT BABES IN ARMS.

All parts of the property are accessible to guests except for a couple of locked cupboards.

Casa Roma is our family holiday home too so we would ask respectfully that you look after it well. Many thanks and enjoy your stay!

Check in is between 4pm and 9pm. There is an additional charge of €50 for arrivals after 9.00pm. This applies to both planned late arrivals and delays.

There is a mid-stay cleaning and fresh bed linen charge of €90 for all stays over 10 nights, and thereafter for each additional 7 nights. This will be added after booking via the Airbnb Resolution Centre (sorry, it is not possible to add it before!)

We live most of the year in a rural location in England and are always in the car. We love coming to Vejer where we can easily walk to all the shops, bars and restaurants. Strolling home through the cobbled streets on a warm summer evening after a great night out is one of my favourite Vejer moments!

We are Mark and Maria and we moved, with our two children, to Somerset from London in 2009 and have never looked back! Our labour of love over the past 12 years has been the gradual renovation of our gorgeous Georgian Mill House and we completed The Stables in 2014. Our latest project has been the renovation of Casa Roma in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain. I write interiors features for a number of home interest magazines. Throwing myself into country life, I also enjoy gardening (though I have a great deal yet to learn) and making jams, preserves and ice creams from our produce. My passion is for rummaging through flea markets, antique fairs and auction houses and I like nothing better than finding a clever bargain I can up-cycle! We have enjoyed every minute of refurbishing The Old Mill House, The Stables and Casa Roma and we sincerely hope we have managed to create three welcoming, unique, comfortable living spaces that are everything we ourselves would want from a holiday home.
