About this listing

This is the area you want to be in if you're visiting ABQ! 3 blocks from Historic Route 66 & Nob Hill, 3 blocks from UNM, 5 minute ride from the airport, 6 minute ride to downtown.

We're surrounded by breweries, restaurants, bars, and shops.

The space

You'll have a private room with a futon (and a blow up mattress if you want it.) You'll share a bathroom with my roommate Eric.

Guest access

You'll have access to your private room, the shared bathroom (with shower), the living room, kitchen, back yard and pretty much everything in the house. We also have street parking right in front of the house.

You may also use our washing machine, detergent, clothesline, fridge, coffee machine, TV... again, pretty much everything!

Interaction with guests

Hosts will be in and out of the house throughout most days, and will be available to offer help, but will also respect your privacy.

Other things to note

We have a 6 year old 35 lb shiba inu dog. He loves people, but we'd prefer to host travelers that do not have pets of their own. I recommend that you like dogs if you want to stay with us, because our dog *loves* people! He'll welcome you home by wagging his tail, bringing you one of his toys, and squealing in delight that there are people in the house. Don't worry, he doesn't slobber!

Charlotte made me feel very welcome in her home, and we got along well. Her place is cozy, and her neighborhood is beautiful, with good food in walking distance. Can't beat the price either. I recommend staying here if you have to stop in Albuquerque!

Listing description was very accurate. Charlotte was a warm and friendly host, staying home Friday evening to provide a welcome, efficient tour of the property, and a key. Barry the dog was fascinated with my luggage, but totally remembered his manners -- a most delightful canine to share a space with! Off-street parking is ample, neighborhood appears to be a mix of single-family homes and apartments. It's super close to UNM and a big assortment of restaurants, stores, coffee shops, and the like. It was quiet -- the neighborhood features people walking a.m. and p.m., but vehicle traffic was very light. Wi-fi worked fine, shared bathroom worked fine, sleeping room immaculate with very comfortable full-sized futon. Use of fridge, washing machine, clothesline, and kitschy backyard were all available.

This stay was (by far) my favorite Airbnb stay, to date! For starters, Charlotte was extremely communicative, and this makes things so much easier. Our arrival time was hard for us to predict, and it was wonderful to have an understanding host. Imagine my surprise, though, when we arrived and felt right at home! We had so much in common, right down to the political snark and fresh ginger tea. Such a comforting and comfortable stay!

I grew up in Maryland just outside of Washington, DC and I went to college in Baltimore. I moved to Albuquerque about two years ago for a job doing neuroimaging and biomedical engineering research. Now I quit my job to spend the summer traveling through the US and Canada before starting graduate school in August.

I have a cute friendly doggy who I love to take hiking on warm weekends. I love animals, vegetables, board games, yoga, breweries, happy hours, and chilling at home or at friend's places.
