Hosts were away due to a family member being ill but the person managing it for them was very friendly and helpful. She helped us book the ballet and we loved the cat!

What a lovely place to stay! If you are planning on visiting Yogyakarta then I highly recommend staying here! Both Luise and Satria were warm and friendly, making us feel comfortable and settled. They both speak excellent english! The place itself is hidden in a quiet area within walking distance from resaurants and shops! The place was clean and facilities great too! No complaints! They were able to help us organise visiting the temples and waterfalls which made our life easier and hassle free! The pets are gorgeous, very friendly and nice company..especially if you have a cat of your own and you miss those cuddles!

We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of october. Unfortunately we didn't really get a chance to spend much time with the hosts, but adele more than made up for it with her advice and great tips. no garden or outside shower when we were there but maybe it's fixed now! their pets are all really friendly, but i would advise only animal lovers to stay as they are pretty quick to run into the bedrooms if you leave the door open! the only downside was a little tick problem on our last day.......

Before our stay Luise was really helpful with communicating everything we needed and they're amazingly accommodating and welcoming hosts! They were out (Luise was singing at a concert) when we arrived but greeted us with very friendly and welcoming open arms when they came home. The house is exactly where the postcode takes you to, the entrance is a giant sliding bamboo door/gate, hard to miss! They had some friends staying at the time and we were made to feel like we were one of Luise and Satria's close friends within hours! We had drinks with them one night and were invited to dinner every night of our stay (if they trcommend the restaurant Mediterranea, the food of great!!) Scooter hire was organised for us and they also recommended some great places to visit that are a little less known, and also some places to avoid at certain times (I.e tourist traps). One night they recommend a lady who does massages that could come to the house to do a hours massage for around 80,000 or so- it's worth it!! I fell asleep about three times and slept like a baby that night! They also let us extend a night with no issues. Luise and Satria are really great, welcoming young hosts and would highly recommend someone wanting to see the fun side of Yogyakarta..or anyone else. Would definitely come back to stay again :)

Staying at Matakami's place was absolutely stunning. It was everything we wished for. The house was really cozy and clean. The location was great as well - a 15 minute walk from the center of yogayakarta and not to far away from the trainstation. Dian who took care of us during was the kindest and most helpful hostess. She helpes us with booking activities as well as train tickets. Without her we wouldn't have enjoyed so much of this city. She even helped us plan the rest of our trip! Very knowledgeable and easy going ( especially if you give her beer) Big thanks for all your advices and hospitality. Regards Antonia and Simon
