This cozy listing is our most requested apartment from people who have stayed in it before. It feels more like home than any of our other apartments and truly has a charm all of its own. Enjoy the two sofa beds and large, comfy leather dining chairs.

The space

Please note that we have put a brand new hob/stove and oven in the kitchen in this apartment.

We have just upgraded all of the mattresses in our main building to high end, top-of-the-line luxury hotel mattresses. We now have King Koil 1400 Club Pocket with pillow top mattresses -- they are an absolute dream to sleep on!

This contemporary styled apartment can comfortably sleep four people and yet can accommodate up to seven and is situated just two minutes’ walk from the Temple Bar district. Here you will enjoy being in the very heart of Dublin's city centre, next to many of the well-known pubs and restaurants and just a short walk away from all the main attractions.

This comfortable apartment is situated in the basement of a beautiful Georgian building (without a lift) and has its own separate entrance/exit out the front and back. It has a charm of its own and is our most requested apartment for any repeat under-30s we have had stay with us! If you are young and coming with a group of friends, then this is the apartment for you! It feels more like home than any of our other apartments and, once the sun goes down and you put some music on, by being in the basement it makes you feel like you are in a club. Definitely the happening place to be on a weekend!

It has a large living room with one double and one single sofa-bed and a 32" flat screen television with cable channels. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, a stove/hob, a fridge and everything you need for preparing your meals. There is also a dining table with leather chairs that seat six if you decide to stay in.

There are two spacious bedrooms, one with a double bed and a set of drawers. The other bedroom has two single beds and a bedside table. Each bedroom has a wardrobe with ample storage for your clothes. There is also a bathroom with a bathtub and a double shower.

For your comfort and convenience there is gas central heating and free Wi-Fi internet access throughout the flat. We also include a hair dryer, iron, washing machine and towels as standard in the apartment with ironing boards and travel cots available on request. There is also secured, gated car parking available in a lot behind our main building at a cost of €15 per night.

Take a short stroll along the River Liffey and in just 10 minutes you will arrive at the Jameson distillery, one of Ireland’s iconic brands. Hop on the Luas tram and in five stops you will arrive at the famous Guinness brewery.

This is a private, self-contained apartment. The front door and back door each have their own, separate entry that aren't shared with any other apartments.

Interaction with guests

I interact with my guests as much as possible! I don't reside in the listing but I do see my guests as much as I can, especially as my office is located right out the back door of the apartment in the car park behind the building.

Other things to note

Check-in is from 3-5:30 pm. If your arrival time is outside of these hours then you *must* inform us so that we can make alternative arrangements for collection of the keys.

Please give us your approximate arrival time so that we can know when to expect you. It always helps to know when we can expect people!

When you arrive, please come to our main building at number 50 Middle Abbey Street for check-in. We are located directly opposite the main entrance to Arnotts department store, just look for the light green house with the orange door.

Ring the bell when you arrive; if I don't answer within a minute or two, just go next door to The Abbey Hotel and ask them to ring me.

Kevin's place was in a great location and was a great value for the price. We originally booked the basement apartment but when we got to the AirBnB, he asked if it was okay to switch to two apartments upstairs. This ended up working out great and the stay was amazing.

Great location. Everything worked well. Lively area without too much street noise at night. Kevin and his staff were very pleasant and accommodating. They even arranged transport to the airport when we were leaving. Highly recommend.

Kevin was a welcoming and helpful host. The apartment was clean and in a good state of decoration. The location is fantastic, just 2 minutes from Ha'penny Bridge, so very handy for shops, restaurants and all the sights of Dublin, though the actual street itself was not noisy.

The flat is big and fully furnished, located just in the city center. Kevin welcomed me and my family and he was very friendly and polite. I will surely come here again the day I return to Dublin!

My name is Kevin Gilroy and I am the manager and owner of Dublin 1 Apartments. I with my new assistant Alicia wish a warm welcome to all of our guests. I am a fun-loving, easy going host who loves having guests come stay at my self-catering holiday apartments in the very heart of Dublin's city centre.

I have a great knowledge of the local area having spent all my life in Dublin and can easily direct you to the best places to eat, drink and be merry. The nightlife (i believe) in Dublin is lots of fun and simply cannot be missed! I often form a great relationship with my guests and have even been known to go out with them for a pint or two in the local pub The Gin Palace.
