Trastevere Angels is a charming newly refurbished apartment located on the VI floor of a 19th century building with elevator and has been furnished and appointed with exquisite Italian style. Located in Trastevere , Woody Allen's movie “To Rome with love" and Julia Roberts "Eat, Pray and Love" are all set in this area of Rome, a beautiful, fascinating, old and modern at the same time area. Trastevere is in the heart of Rome, its name means "beyond the Tiber" and refers to the main river of the city. It has a special character thanks to its narrow cobbled streets lined by medieval houses. This unique character attracts artists of an kind as well as locals of every ages.
The area does not have major monuments, tour buses going all around or crowds of tourists walking around. It is a quite, relaxed part of a chaotic city. It feels like a small walkable town within a city.
It's Rome's gem. Chill and relaxing during the day , fun and crowded at night. During the day, the best thing to do is to stroll the streets, sit in a piazza, meet friends for a coffee or a gelato and just get lost in the gorgeous neighborhood.
One of the most beautiful squares in Trastevere is Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere. The square is referred to the Basilica of Santa Maria, one of the oldest churches in Rome. In front of the building, there's the oldest fountain of Rome .

My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to Rome. On our first night, we stayed in an area where there were a ton of hostels. The vibe was extremely touristy and not what we were looking for. Enter Valentina's place. This location is AMAZING. Perfect distance to tons of great restaurants & bars. There's no tourist attractions in this neighborhood so this felt like the real deal authentic Italy. We were still able to walk to the Colosseum. The apartment is shared, but we never saw or had any interaction with the other tenants. Can't wait to go back to Rome!

Rome was definitely worth visiting. We stayed for a week, and still there were many things we did not have the chance to see. We plan to come back soon!

Valentina greeted me at the elevator door. The room was as picture - bright, clean and spacious!! The common areas were clean and all the guests were quiet and friendly. My room had a private bathroom down the hall that could be locked from both inside and outside for private use. There is no AC, but the room has a fan and the a window that opens fully. There is safety deposit box, which is about the size of a small tablet that was perfect for securing personal documents. The check in/out process was simple and Valentina arranged an airport transfer on Sunday for me for 40 euro. Leo, the driver, was very friendly and professional!

My mum and I stayed in the grey room at Valentina's place. The room is very clean, tidy, spacious and super comfortable. Nice bedding and towels: White, clean and soft. The area is bohemian with only few tourists giving you a real feeling of how the Italians live. There are also a lot of restaurants options in walking distance. Valentina is very prompt and helpful, she gives you maps, tips where to go, visit and eat nearby and even helped me organising a car to pick me up and take me to the airport!! She definitely made our trip to Rome easy and comfortable.
