I had a great stay here. The apartment is spacious, clean and convent for the direct bus to the airport. The hosts are fabulous and really helpful. I recommend staying here

The photos don't do it justice, this home is spacious and I would definitely stay here again. This was my second time in DF and the location made it perfect. 10 minute walk to Zócalo or Plaza Garibaldi. Had an excellent time. All the locks were kind of a hassle but at least you know it's secure.

This is a great find. Alfredo was a great communicator and went out of his way to help ensure a great experience. He offered numerous pointers of things to do, pointing out some of the major cultural "must sees". The neighborhood itself is infused with amazing history, and the apartment is a major component! He even took time to have a cerveza with me and show me around a bit on the first night. This made me feel invited to the city and helped me get a feel for the neighborhood. This is not a typical tourist neighborhood, so that was a welcome introduction. The apartment is a wonderful, large loft in a secure building that is an old Spanish convent replete with stone arches and charm to write home about. Numerous cultural experiences begin simply within the apartment complex. Standing outside the apartment you can hear the Mariachi's playing their hearts out at Garibaldi Plaza, about four blocks away. The apartment itself is quiet and comfortable. There is a typical city odor that occurs periodically, but that's the city! The nicest restaurants also have it(URL HIDDEN) The place is within walking distance of everything in Historico Centro. There are numerous train stations, museums, performing arts centers (Bella Artes--a must see!) within a short walk (4-6 blocks). I had great fun exploring the neighborhood at all times of the day and night. Local bars have cheap cerveza and excellent live music. Additionally, there's a laundromat and grocery store just around the corner for your domestic needs. I will definitely try to stay here again(URL HIDDEN)

We had a wonderful stay. The lofted apartment is centrally located and within walkable distance from most tourist attractions in the city. The space is clean and richly decorated with a Mexican style and the host's good taste. Alfredo was also extremely welcoming when we checked in. There was some noise from a neighboring bar/club on a Friday night but the noise subsided before midnight.

We spent 4 nights at Casa de la Covadonga in April 2017. This accommodation has an appealing layout - a loft studio with an open floor plan. However, it would have worked better for us if it had counter space for food preparation, sharp knives and adequate cookware in the kitchen area. We ended up eating out much more than we had planned. There is not a couch or other comfortable furniture in the downstairs entry room. We experienced major shower/toilet problems, however, they were fixed the day after we contacted our host. Casa de la Covadonga is an apartment in a charming centuries old building that was built as a convent for young girls. It is located on the edge of the Zocalo, the center of Mexico City, within walking distance to many cultural and historical attractions. A real plus. However, as two women travelers, we did not feel safe to walk in the neighborhood after dark. Loud parties in the neighborhood on Saturday and Sunday kept us from sleeping. But maybe that is a rare occurrence, since it was a holiday weekend (May Day). We had trouble reaching our host when we arrived at the airport. He is only available by (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) but it took him awhile to get our (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) messages and he did not leave to pick us up until he did, so we reached the apartment 1.5 hours before he did. A kind neighbor let us into the courtyard of the apartment building so we could wait in comfort. Alfredo recommends that you don't drink the tap water, so be prepared to get a large container of bottled water right away upon your arrival. There is an OXXO a block away, but we did not find any real grocery stores nearby. Plan to go outside of downtown to get groceries. We used Uber to get around when we weren't walking or using the Turibus, and that worked well for us. As you can see, our review of this accommodation is mixed, but we loved our visit to Mexico City, although 4 days is not enough, but we already knew that!

Alfredo and Joel were very welcoming hosts with many tips and good advice on places to eat and things to do. Between them they speak Spanish, English and French, at least. Alfredo stayed in communication and made sure we knew how to get to the apartment from the airport which is extremely easy since the bus stops almost next door and they were willing to accommodate our arrival and departure times. The apartment is as pictured, very historic and we could easily walk to the Centro Historico and Zocolo. The metro station was close when we wanted to go farther afield. The apartment also has a computer which is helpful if you need to stay in touch with work. We really enjoyed meeting Alfredo and Joel and will look to stay here again when we return.

Nice and spacious loft in a beautiful old colonial building in the historic centre. Great location to visit the sights of the centre during the day, although at night the area is more quiet. Communication with Alfredo went smoothly and they took the time to tell about what Mexico City has to offer and to show us around.
