In Punta del Gallo, Tunquén, between Quintay and Algarrobo, access private beaches on foot 10min, sea views, gullies. Wooden house with barn shape, 72m2, double height interior and excellent views. Two bedrooms, one with king bed and one with 2plz bed. Living with comfortable sofas in the 2nd level with the best view to the bay of Algarrobo. Functional kitchen and dining room for eight, integrated, open onto a large terrace with sun umbrellas and beach chairs. Bosca wood and grilled basic barbecue.

The space

To get from Santiago, take Route 68 to the coast, passing Lake Peñuelas, at km 92, exit Quintay Tunquén. Curves for 20min until the Tunquén exit on the left. Then you continue along narrow, winding road, in forest, for 10min and when you see the sea, you are 150m from the port Punta del Gallo. There you go to Casa Granero 53-C and they can explain how to get there. Otherwise, you should walk 2km to a wooden sign and take North (right), continue to the houses and once past the gate, take the first road on the left, you will see our house almost immediately. To park you must enter through the two high posts, past the house and leave the car behind the house, before the access ladder.

Guest access

The whole house is available for use, except a piece of furniture that has a key. The patio is large, not limited with other grounds. There is a hammock, awning, grill to use. In the background there are many beautiful houses, of good modern architecture that can be seen from the road. The ravines and beaches are amazing and the loicas in the morning, amazing.

Other things to note

The condominium is eco-friendly, energy is obtained from solar panels, the water is from truck tanks and the refrigerator runs on gas.
You can not use high-energy appliances because the batteries only store enough for lights and small appliances (speakers, chargers, small hair dryer). If they use heaters, kettles, TVs or leave something large, they simply consume the energy immediately and wait until the system is charged with the sun the next day.
If the gas ball is changed, wait about 10 minutes for the air to flow out of the pipes and you can restart the refrigerator.
In the case of water, although it is drinkable, we recommend always drinking bottled water. You can use it to shower and wash without problems. If you go for more than two days, the water can run out. We recommend to be attentive and check at least once a day of the water level (especially if you like long showers). In the event that it is about to end, you must notify Silvia to have them filled out. Anyway the idea is to consume little water. There is also a hose in the yard that is only for emergencies.
Garbage is separated into glass, plastic bottles, cans and general waste. They are deposited in the trash when leaving the condominium.
In this area, there is a lot of wind and dry grass, so you should be wary of bonfires and roasts, as they could create a fire. Also try not to leave debris on the terrace because they fly and contaminate other sectors.
There is a Bosca wood stove that warms the whole house but for some reason, the master bedroom needs support. This is why there is a gas stove in the wall, with forced draft to the outside, which allows to keep it lit all night. We recommend leaving the door slightly open if you are going to sleep with this gas stove on.

Daniela has a lovely and very nice decorated house! The situation is amazing! We spent two days there, and enjoyed our stay! Please note that there is no wifi + no towels included.

This house is very beautiful and the design (overall and interior) is gorgeous. You can practically open it completely up to have great airflow and a super open feeling. It's very lively, the only problem is that bugs will find their way in and after you close up the house at night, they go towards the light (and you). The house is totally off the grid - solar, gas fridge, etc - so make sure you know how everything works and use resources sparingly. It is a long dirt road to get there, so would recommend a car that can handle it. The view is great, but the nearest restaurant is about 20+mins away, and the only markets are very small. This place is great if you don't care about driving much, but the long dirt road makes those little trips quite a bit longer. Overall great little place, but has its quirks and is remote. I think next time we'd stay a little closer to a town, but is a great place for people wanting that experience.
