Casa Hamilton is a family home perfectly located, as it is only minutes away from the city centre. This unique Victorian house has been newly restored and offers bright, spacious rooms with a quirky touch.

We are one minute walk distance from the Meadows, a 15mins walk to both Royal Mile and Castle, and 20mins to Princes Street.

The space
You will be sharing the house with our cosmopolitan family members: Will (Jamaican), Ve (Italian), Amelie (English), Pablo (Scottish) and Jonsey, our cat, who is friendly with everyone.

A stone’s throw from the city centre, this room is perfect for travellers who want a cozy space to come home to after an exciting day exploring Edinburgh! The single loft bed boasts a comfortable, supportive mattress and feather duvet as well as a pop-up side table, reading lamp, and electrical USB outlets attached for your convenience. A wardrobe with shelves and hanging space is also available for your personal use. Put your feet up and relax with a cup of tea or coffee by the expansive shuttered window overlooking Barclay Church, or, set your laptop on and plan tomorrow’s adventures with fast and reliable Wifi.

Just down the hall, you can enjoy the shared modern shower room with a toilet, bidet, hot shower, and underfloor heating. Towels and hairdryer are provided.

There is central heating in the bedroom and bathroom. Please just let us know if you get too hot or too cold and we can adjust accordingly!

Guest access
All guest rooms are on the first floor of the house. Guests will be given a set of keys for the duration of their stay.
Use of the microwave in the kitchen is available as well as an allocated space in the fridge. We will be happy to show you around where crockery is stored.
Guests are welcome to relax in our south-facing front garden.

Guests who will stay with us will get information on local businesses for breakfast at a discounted rate and lots more of other good recommendations.

During your stay
We fully respect your privacy and will also welcome you to visit with us if you would like. Let us know if you need recommendations for sights, activities, restaurants, etc. or if you have any questions about your stay in the neighbourhood.

Other things to note
We provide clean bedding and towels at the start of your stay which are changed as standard once a week.

If you would like clothes washed there are a number of local launderettes and dry cleaner services.
An iron and ironing board can be arranged on request. We can also help arrange drop off and collection of dry cleaning.

We will also be happy to book a taxi for you if you need one.

This is a relaxed house, and we very much hope that you will feel comfortable and at home during your stay. The house is non-smoking, yet you may smoke outside. We also request for you to provide full names of all guests who are checking in when you book the room.

We are passionate creators! We love finding abandoned, outdated, and weathered bits and pieces, then reclaiming them in the name of beauty, practicality, and sustainability. Our Victorian style home has been uniquely crafted by upcycling everything from postage stamps to pallet wood and the whole lot in between. Will also has an inspired ability to take everything in the kitchen (except the sink) and craft it into fantastic epicurean creations. As a guest in our B&B, you are welcome to join us for a unique dining experience which will be well worth your time and money. We are a multi-cultural family – Jamaican dad, Italian mamma, English daughter, and Scottish son – and we welcome new nationalities into our extended B&B family all the time. We look forward to getting to know you as well!
