Small double room with its own little bathroom ensuite right in the most astonishing location in Galway, in the charming area of Claddagh. It is 2 minute-walking distance from Shop Street and the Nightlife area of Galway but it's also far enough for not hearing the noises. Right by the waterfront, the swans and "Long Walk". From its window, you will enjoy the best view in Galway.

Private parking space included.

The space

This room has a jaw-dropping view of the Galway bay. From the window you will be able to see both the river and the sea, as well as the Spanish Arch and the Long Walk with its colourful houses, the most photographed street in Ireland, truly a postcard view. The bed is a small double, 1,20m wide, with a
therapeutic memory foam mattress topper that will ensure comfort all night long. The room is 7,6 square meters, and the bathroom ensuite adds 2 square meters to the space.

Quay Street, Shop Street and the Latin Quarter are just 2 minutes walk from the house. The bus and train station is at 20 minutes walking. Our home is literally located in the best spot of the city. Quiet and central, the romantic and historical neighborhood of "Claddagh" inspired the design of the famous "Claddagh Ring".

This is the perfect place for young couples and backpackers to stay and for those who enjoy authentic experiences.

We offer FREE PARKING SPACE, we have you covered there.

We don't provide our guests with breakfast. However, we can recommend you some good places for that in town.

We named our house "House of Swans" because of the swans, our extra neighbors, who live just in front of the house. Our house is old, located in the historic neighbourhood of Claddagh.

The house has 7 rooms and 5 bathrooms. Each room has different size and characteristics. We use up to 5 rooms with Airbnb, if you book in good advance you could have the choice of booking the room that best suits you. The links of the other rooms are listed below.

We wish you a nice stay :)

Guest access

Even though the use of the kitchen or breakfast is not provided you can make yourself a cup of tea and store whatever you need in the fridge behind the white curtain.

We like our guests to feel at home. Feel free to come in the living room and relax, there is also a guitar and a ukelele, and perhaps other guests with whom to chat about trips and adventures! We also have a stove in the living room, even if it is mostly not used in summer, we can light it up if it gets chilly out there.

Our location possible because this house was built some 60 years ago. The stairs to go to the first floor are traditional old-style and steep. Please be careful going up and down, hold the banister if you need to.

Interaction with guests

We are always around the house, so if you need anything or have any questions just ask and we will be happy to help to make your stay in Galway enjoyable.

Other things to note

It can get humid when you have a shower, so please open the bathroom door and the top window after for some ventilation.

We have a washing machine and drier, which can be used if needed. We charge 10€ for a full load, just give us your clothes, and we will take care of them for you.

A wonderful stay with a wonderful couple. Right in the heart of Claddagh Quay on Galway bay. Perfect location for restaurants, bars and places of interest. The view from the bedroom window was amazing as you could see the bay and Long Walk (famous from the song Galway girl). Natalia and Lamberto were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and they felt like friends instantly. The room was cosy and clean with a bathroom and comfy bed. Galway is an amazing city, full of charm and history. If you come to Galway you must stay with Nat and Lami. They will give you a great stay. Awesome couple in a lovely city.

Lamberto was very welcoming, communication was excellent and the room was small but comfortable, clean and very well located. The view from our room was gorgeous. Totally beyond our host's control but on our second night one of the neighbours caused a bit of a ruckus in the middle of the night, hopefully a one-off as the night before it was very peaceful. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

Natalia and Lamberto were extremely kind and caring hosts. From the minute we booked it, their communication was fantastic. Natalia showed us to our room and ensuite, which was quaint - the perfect size. There were sweet touches, like Irish chocolate and offering some breakfast for us as well. Natalia also recommended a brilliant seafood place to us for dinner - one of the best meals we have ever had! The whole complex felt so homey and welcoming, we spent time in the family room which connects to their kitchen. This place is the perfect mix of private and community living. Would absolutely recommend! :)
