We had an amazing time at Ioan’s place. The house is big and nicely decorated and it has all the comfort of a modern house. You can see the mountain at the back of the house and it is very close to a lot of nature’s attractions. It is located in a beautiful area in Apuseni, mostly wild and undeveloped: stunning landscape, imposing mountains, waterfalls and caves, some of them sheltering underground glaciers from long ago, karst plateaus whose dolines, sinkholes and springs give them a unique special charm. The hosts are some of the nicest people you can find and their hospitality was overwhelming. They treated us as family making sure we have everything we need and more. We couldn’t have asked for better. They are the perfect hosts. We are looking forward to return there one day in the near future.

Dear Rogeiro and all tour companions . We can not be but happy that you spent a good time at our location and you enjoyed your stay . Please bear in mind our invitation to try the area during winter time, when the pure-white snow cloth of the nature is fascinating and the winter holidays brings peace and happiness to everybody . Awaiting to hear from you, With the best regards. Rodica and Ioan .-

Best holiday. I would recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet. The house is very spacious, clean and with a large veranda. Host very nice, communicative and always willing to help. Great and nice people. Best food. Daily fresh homemade milk, eggs, butter and cheese. I recommend to everyone. If you want to visit Romania and feel the climate of this country you have to visit this house.

This is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing holiday with your family. Everything about it is perfect. Great house, great place and great host. The house, although a little spartian, offers everything one may need. We were two families with little kids and we did not miss anything. The place itself is a little paradise. Beautiful surroundings, a charming stream across the street, some of nicest attractions of this region within walking distance. Impressing caves can be reached in 20 minutes of walk. Shop and restaurant are also close. Last but not least - the hosts. No words can express how nice these people are. We were not their customers - we were their GUESTS. Ioan and his wife did everything they could, so that we could enjoy our stay as much as possible. Ioan is a great story teller, wonderful guide and even an exchange office if that is necessary. What is also important, although they live in a house on the same property, their presence was never imposing on us, so we felt as we were alone. On the other hand if we needed something we could just knock their door. My additional thoughs about the place is that Apuseni Mountains are not that famous as some of the other Romanian tourist destinations - at least in my country. That is wrong. My family agreed that it was by far the most interesting point of our trip to Romania - better than all the castles, Carpathian Moutains or even Danube Delta. Also we agree that we spent by far too little time there. To see the most interesting points just in Garda surroundings you need at least 3 days, but if you have two weeks, Ioan will make sure that you won't get bored :-)

Beautiful! Wonderful! Magnificent! (URL HIDDEN) Staying at this home was wonderful and charming. It is very close to many beautiful, natural sites such at the Scarisoara Cave, Rusty Pit, Bear Cave, and much, much more. This is the place to stay if you want to actively engage with your host. He was kind enough to make us homemade appetizers and blueberry liquor for a late night "snack" (it was so big, we skipped dinner!) and breakfast. I've never had farmer's cheese or fresh butter like this - wow wow wow! He told us a lot about the area, his life story, and shared HILARIOUS stories for hours (ask him about the sandwich at the airport, seriously.) I wish we had more vacation time (the USA is very cheap with it) because this is the kind of place where you could stay several nights, not just one. Even looking around his back yard was great - they have adorable witches hung everyone, a beautiful wagon, adorable potted plants, a real ancient fossil (!!!), and more. Walking around his neighborhood and seeing the small village nearby was great. The water in the house is safe to drink - from a natural spring and absolutely delicious. My hair seemed softer from even showering in this wonderful water! Make sure you check your SPAM, I think he was messaging me GPS coordinates but my e-mail never came through. I would absolutely stay at this lovely place again (and so would my other 6 friends.) I forgot to mention, we were a big group - 7 people - and there was plenty of room. If I have to list any cons (and I am only doing this so people believe me), it's that you need to go outside in order to get to the kitchen. Not a problem for us, but if it is very cold, it might be difficult. This is a house for people who can climb stairs and are careful - there are many small rugs, so pay attention where you step! Also, we had several members with asthma, so we had to remove some air fresheners, but they did not mind at all. You have to be okay with a very honest host who likes to engage and joke around and chat - this is not a hotel where you can check in and not talk to anyone if you are shy/tired/don't like to chat with people. I would return to this paradise in the mountains anytime. You would benefit from knowing this wonderful family! :)

We so much enjoyed our time at the Cabana Marinarul. It is placed in a beautiful setting, with a small river close by where you can sit or play with children. The gardens are lovely and make for a relaxing atmosphere. It is a good location to explore the region. Barcuta is very helpful at giving advise as to where to go and what to do. The Hosts were perfect, they made our stay very welcoming and enjoyable. We mostly cooked on the BBQ outside which has a covered in area with table etc in case of rain. We certainly would stay there again.
