Mitsus house was a little old, but clean. There weren't any people when we arrived, but soon a family checked in as well. We didn't talk to any locals, but besides that the description of the house was accurate. The house was a little more decentralized than we expected, but we could use the buckles. When we tried to take the free shuttle, the driver didn't let us in. After we send a message to Mitsu, he called the hospital that was in charge of the shuttles and confirmed again, that we were allowed to use the shuttle. All in all we had a good for a reasonable price.

The location is far away - about 25min by foot - and the shuttle is not very usefull, the driver was kinda mad when he saw us with luggage. He told us the shuttle is not for foreigners...

It's a self check and the host emailed us information on how to get to the location with different modes of transportation routes. Host was not present during our stay yet was available via airbnb's website chat. If you decide to walk to the location from public transportation, best to find it while there's sunlight to avoid getting lost. We also had a couple staying next door to our room - noise from the other side is muffled and sound was not an issue when attempting to sleep. We chose not to use the refrigerator and kitchen during our stay. We didn't know how to use the washer and dryer since words are in Japanese, otherwise, bathroom and sink were good. Thanks for allowing us to stay!

Affordable place to stay in Kyoto suburbs. The room is little but warm and tiny. Internet Wi-Fi is fast. Maybe it's a little bit far from Kyoto center but with the free bicycle is only 10 minutes till the nearest station, than is 1 stop train to Kyoto station. Thanks Mitsu for your hospitality.

After 2 weeks in the snow it was great to experience Kyoto with Mitsu's house as our home-base. I imagine it would be quite crowded with 5 people, but was great for 2! The location is about 7km from the city centre, and it was super easy to catch the train from Higashino Station and a really nice bike ride up Sanjo Dori to the Gion District with the bikes provided. Cycling everywhere was so fun and we saved heaps of money. It's a great way to explore this city! We also met up with Mitsu and some of his friends for lunch at a Japanese restaurant and this was delicious and so fun! It was a rare opportunity to meet and get to know some locals! Unfortunately because of the weather our plans for a tour were foiled, but Mitsu and his friends were very helpful with recommendations.

It was a good place a bit far from the subway station but was ok for us as we used the bicycle to get there. Our room was too cold because the heater dosent work.
