Our Georgian House and gardens are situated right on the Pennine Way perfect for walkers and Bronte enthusiasts. The house is modernised to a high standard.

The space

Parts of the house date back to 1820. There are two rooms available a double and a single with. The single room has a vaulted ceiling, wood burning stove and direct access to the private guest sitting room. Guests have a private bathroom upstairs with bath tub. There is also a wet room with shower on the ground floor for guest use only. There is a large utility/bootroom entrance for storage of any wet clothes/muddy boots etc. Bikes can be securely stored in our garage. There is parking for several cars on our drive. Please be aware the house has lots of stairs due to the age of the house these are quite steep and may be difficult for guests with mobility issues.

Guest access

Breakfast (served 7-9.30am),
is included (croissants, toast, cereals, yogurt, jams, our own honey, choice of eggs, tea, coffee, juice) We will try to meet any diet needs if guests inform us in advance. Guest lounge has french doors to patio seating area and great Worth Valley/Pennine views. This room has a wood burning stove and DVD player with a choice of films.

Interaction with guests

We will be able to give advice regarding walking/running /cycling trips out etc and directions to pubs and places to eat.

Other things to note

We have dogs and cats but these animals are never allowed upstairs. We have a number of sheep hens and geese in the field and also beehives.

We had a wonderful stay and a very warm welcome from Catherine and Simon. It was great to have our own sitting room and we enjoyed lots of rambles in the area. We were spoilt with a delicious breakfast and would love to visit again one day. The views were incredible.

We spent one night with Catherine and Simon in their beautiful home. Tea and cake was served on the patio overlooking the stunning views and their field full of sheep and geese. Catherine and Simon made us feel incredibly welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms were lovely and after an amazing breakfast , which included scrambled goose eggs , we were rather sad to leave. We highly recommend this fantastic place . We will definitely return again.

We had an over-night stay at the Buckley House, there to run the Haworth Hobble Race the following day. We were totally spoiled as soon as we arrived and had a wonderful time with Catherine and Simon. The house is truly incredible and the dogs are lovely.
