Our Georgian House and gardens are situated right on the Pennine Way perfect for walkers and Bronte enthusiasts. The house is modernised to a high standard.
Parts of the house date back to 1820. There are two rooms available a double and a single with. The single room has a vaulted ceiling, wood burning stove and direct access to the private guest sitting room. Guests have a private bathroom upstairs with bath tub. There is also a wet room with shower on the ground floor for guest use only. There is a large utility/bootroom entrance for storage of any wet clothes/muddy boots etc. Bikes can be securely stored in our garage. There is parking for several cars on our drive. Please be aware the house has lots of stairs due to the age of the house these are quite steep and may be difficult for guests with mobility issues.
Breakfast (served 7-9.30am),
is included (croissants, toast, cereals, yogurt, jams, our own honey, choice of eggs, tea, coffee, juice) We will try to meet any diet needs if guests inform us in advance. Guest lounge has french doors to patio seating area and great Worth Valley/Pennine views. This room has a wood burning stove and DVD player with a choice of films.
Interaction with guests
We will be able to give advice regarding walking/running /cycling trips out etc and directions to pubs and places to eat.
Other things to note
We have dogs and cats but these animals are never allowed upstairs. We have a number of sheep hens and geese in the field and also beehives.
The house is non smoking and we would prefer visitors to remove any cigarette ends etc to the dustbin if they smoke outdoors. The house has steep stairs and does not have any equipment for children. No children under 12 years and not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
