Jerome's apartment is really big and spacious, it's bright and it has a great balcony. Parts of it are a little rough around the edges, but it's got charm - I liked it and would say it's better in person than in the photos. The location is perfect. It's on a central street with lots of shops, cafes and bars nearby - but it's not noisy and is largely pedestrianised. It's a nice spot downtown with the Casa da Música, the riverfront and plenty of other attractions within walking distance. Jerome is a nice guy, but he wasn't very responsive to my initial messages. After we got in contact, everything was fine. Check-in was arranged quickly, he met me in person, showed me around the apartment and recommended things to do during my stay. He was readily available when I contacted him with a query, and was good enough to come by and check everything was fine at the apartment after some particularly high winds!

The apartment is in a great position; easy walking distance to the historical centre of Porto and close to travel links. It's also a great size and has a really nice shower and living room. Unfortunately the bed is one of the most uncomfortable I've had the misfortune to sleep in and it smelt a bit too; it seemed clean, just maybe hadn't dried properly after a wash? Very little toilet paper in the property (less than one role) and the flat didn't seem to have been thoroughly cleaned. The walls of the building are very thin, so that when showering the neighbours sound like they're in the same room. Despite this, we had a great stay in Porto. Jerome seemed like a top guy and made himself available for us but we didn't have any contact with him after the first day (didn't think it worth asking for a new bed! And we'd brought our own toilet paper, as you should too if you stay here). Over all, you get what you pay for and I might pay slightly more next time for somewhere that's had a little more care put in.

The location of the flat is perfect if you’d like to explore Porto. All the touristy things are within working distance, as well as Porto’s main streets with bars and restaurants. The flat itself is not located within the main tourist areas, so you can find good restaurants that serve local food close by. The balcony of the flat is getting a lot of sun in the evening so it’s nice to sit there. Jerome is a friendly host and we felt welcome.

Apartment is in the city center, good location, But it is very old and cold, the rooms are separated by a cabinet and the second "bedroom" has no sheets

Lovely time in Porto. Beautiful city. Location needs to be clear. Apt is old. Hard time finding apt and getting a hold of Gerome. Three doors to be unlocked as you go up the five flights of stairs. Noisy location. Mattress were old and worn out. Needs better lighting. Spacious and good location.
