Attic room in a tall Victorian semi detached house. South facing room with the best views in Bristol. Small double bed (4 ft) that is OK for 2. Usually a cup of tea on the go. Tasty breakfast. Great location, bus, train and short walk to town.
An attic room with a sloping roof painted in a fresh green. The USP of this room is its wonderful view looking over Bristol and on a good day you can see the University of Bath! Three-quarter bed (or small double) that is comfortable for one but OK for 2. The bed is a vintage French one. You are at the top of the house and the bathroom and toilet are one floor down. You are welcome to make tea and coffee and you will have a tasty continental breakfast. Lovely sunny south facing garden with hammock and tables and benches for quiet time out. Bedroom, kitchen for breakfast, bathroom and toilet (shared) and garden. Garage for bikes.
Bedroom, kitchen for breakfast and making drinks but not for cooking meals, bathroom and garden. Safe parking for bikes.
Interaction with guests
We are a couple with grown up children. I work from home most days. So I am very happy to share a cup of tea and a chat with guests who want to know what to see and where to go. Otherwise we are happy to let you do your own thing.
Other things to note
Tall house so lots of stairs. It is not an ideal house for anyone living with disabilities - but we would always try to help. Unsuitable for young children.
As it is our home we ask for respect for each other in terms of noise. Also the house is smoke-free.
I am semi-retired but I still do a few days work in public health. I have a husband and 2 grown up daughters and have just become a granny for the first time. I spent my childhood in Wales but have lived in the great city of Bristol UK for 40 years. I love to travel and spent 3 years in Latin America working for health programmes. I am a cyclist and try to keep fit.
I work from home and I love tea and chats. I am a bit of a hoarder for all sorts of things. I have visited Australia many times to see my brother. Last year I made it to Tasmania which was wonderful and went to Sydney for the second time. I speak Spanish and can get by in French and a bit of Portuguese.
