Discover the perfect blend of design and nature in this exquisitely remodeled Tahoe cabin, ideally situated just a mile from Lake Tahoe and a short drive to premier ski resorts. Tahoe City, with its charming shops and restaurants, is conveniently accessible by bike path or quick drive.

Our home is a classic 'David Tucker' cabin, known for its warm wood interiors, expansive high windows that bring the forest inside, and an efficiently designed layout, creating a tranquil haven for your escape.

The space
You’ll have the entire cabin to yourself (over 1200 square feet) including 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, dining and living spaces, and a well-stocked kitchen. There is also a dedicated office nook in the second bedroom with a printer, Zoom light and lightning-fast WiFi for those who need to stay connected. Step outside to the outdoor deck, where a gas grill, outdoor table, and nearby hot tub await your enjoyment - perfect for evening stargazing under the clear Tahoe sky.

The property is set on a greenbelt and forested conservancy lot with tons of room to play! Popular hiking trails are accessed at the end of our road.

During the summer, we also set up an outdoor lounge amongst the pine trees - perfect for an afternoon glass of wine. 2 kayaks are also available for your use. We are just minutes to Sunnyside and William Kent beach!

The attached garage has one parking space, with two spaces in the driveway.

Guest access
All parts of the house for guest access. There is a small storage shed behind the property under the deck that is not for guest access.

PARKING:
1 spot in the garage - should fit a regular SUV like a Toyota Highlander without a roof box.
2 spots in the driveway.
There is no street parking allowed during the winter. Please keep an eye out for the driveway plow (they come randomly during storms) to move vehicles to allow for full driveway clearing.

SECURITY CAMERAS:
We have a 24/7 video/audio security camera on the exterior of property. It is located at the front driveway (facing the driveway but not showing front stairs). Security cameras monitor bears and packages and are designed for you to maintain privacy while enjoying our home.

GUESTS:
6 people maximum. Only the guests on the confirmed Airbnb reservation are allowed on the property and in the cabin. Extra guests must be approved by owners in advance of the reservation and are subject to additional fees.

NO PETS:
We maintain a strict no-pets policy to ensure a clean and comfortable environment. If we find any evidence of pets in the home, you may incur additional cleaning fees.

BEAR WIRE:
There are bears in Lake Tahoe and we have electric bear wire around the property to avoid break-ins. You’ll see electric wires at the windows and doors. Instructions to turn off the bear wire will be provided in your welcome letter.

CLEANING FEE:
The cleaning fee covers normal turnover cleaning (e.g. bedding and laundry turn over, surfaces, floors, snow removal, etc.). Additional cleaning fees may be incurred for excessive mess (e.g. excessive dishes, melted snow or mud inside or carpet stains, etc)

WINTER SNOW SEASON:
During the winter snow season the West Shore of Lake Tahoe can see a very large snow accumulation. 4 wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. We have a driveway plow service that comes every snowfall (of 6 inches or more) to clear the driveway. Please note that snowfall can continue to accumulate between clearing service and your arrival. We do provide shovels for your use if necessary. If heavy snowfall happens during your stay and additional shoveling help is necessary, please give us a call and we may be able to arrange some assistance for an extra fee. We also recommend taking the Cathedral Dr / Holly Rd route to Alpine Way during snow. Due to heavy snow accumulation in the area, the decks are not completely cleared and only pathway access is maintained. Please be patient as the snow removal services work to clear both county roads and driveways.

ACCESS:
The front entry stairs are steep and are not suitable for very young children or those with mobility issues. There is no access to the house without going up stairs.

We are not responsible for Lake Tahoe weather changes / delays leading up to and during your reservation. In the event of a storm or wildfire, our cancellation policy stands.

Neighbourhood highlights

The absolute BEST neighborhood on the West Shore. Our property is located on the edge of a greenbelt connecting with the entire Paige Meadows and Granlibakken trail system. We are also just a few minutes from downtown Tahoe City and about 15 minutes to Alpine/Palisades/Squaw ski resort. Homewood resort is 10 minutes away. A 5-minute bike ride down the hill will get you to the bike path around the lake. We are very close to Sunnyside, William Kent public beach, and the West Shore Market. Walkable to Tahoe House for coffee and pastries. There is also a short walk to the best lake view on the West Shore at the top of Alpine Road with a public open space - great for viewing the sunset.
