"Mont St Michel, France
There can't be many Unesco world heritage sites on the continent that give as much eureka for their euro as Mont St Michel – or that charge such rip-off prices for accommodation. But stay at the nearby Au Bon Accueil B&B-cum-hostel and they'll shuttle you there for free.

We offer bed and breakfast in our 200 year old home, just 13 minutes drive from the World Heritage Site of Le Mont St Michel - the most popular tourist attraction in France outside of Paris.
We have 5 bedrooms- all with private facilities - two doubles, a triple, a room for 4 and a family suite for 6. The rooms are all newly decorated this year.
Please contact me for availability for all room types - I will endeavour to answer your enquiry as quickly as possible.
We will supply you with maps, details and suggestions to make your stay as enjoyable and as memorable as possible.
Au Bon Accueil is situated 5 minutes from the nearest beach at Cherrueix, 20 minutes from the harbour town of Cancale, where you can get the best seafood and 30 minutes from St Malo, the famous City of Corsaires.
St Malo is the birth place of Jacques Cartier - who "discovered" Canada. His tomb can be seen in St Vincent's cathedral. There is also a museum dedicated to him. St Malo is a hidden gem - come and let us help you explore it!
We have many restaurants close by - to suit all budgets and tastes - 3 are within walking distance.
For breakfast you have a choice of hot drink - tea, coffee or fruit infusion. There is freshly baked french bread and a croissant with butter and jam, yogurt and orange juice. Breakfast is served between 08.00 am and 9.00am
We speak English fluently and French with an English accent.
The bedroom and private ensuite shower room as described. The guest breakfast room which has a fridge and microwave (and corkscrew and glasses), a comfy sofa and a selection of games. In summer guests are welcome to share our garden - and the trampoline!
Interaction with guests
I love to spend time chatting to my guests over a cup of English tea!
The village is quiet but within very easy reach of the tourist attractions and the motorway. I love the fact that we are close to the unique coastline of the bay of Mont St Michel. Our restaurants are great locally - authentic, inexpensive and above all really good!
Public transport is not great, but we are able to offer a free service to our guests arriving by train at Pontorson or at Mont St Michel by bus. Also from the bus at MSM. Get in touch to discuss the details.
NEW - OUIBUS now goes direct from Paris to Mont St Michel. We can pick you up and bring you back - no charge.
Other things to note
Guests often reserve for only one night, then ask for an extra night when they realise that there is so much to see - not just the Mont St Michel. To avoid disappointment, its best to reserve at least 2 nights.
Although we want guests to fell at home , we ask that noise is kept to a minimum for the comfort of all guests. The whole house is non-smoking, but if they must, guests can smoke outside. If you are going to arrive after 8pm, please ring with your ETA.
After spending 25 years holidaying in Europe together, we fell in love with France and decided that our future lay here. We relocated to France and went into a business that allows us to meet people, which is something we have always enjoyed doing. We love french culture, french food and being a stone's throw from the coast and beaches.
I love helping my guests make the most out of their stay in this lovely area.
When you stay at Au Bon Accueil we hope that you will feel like you are staying in a family home as part of a family. We're very relaxed and informal and everyone is treated as a friend.
Au Bon Accueil has welcomed guests for over 200 years!
