We had to cancel our 11 night stay after four nights, we wanted to move out after first night but Airbnb insisted that we give the host a chance to fix things which they did try but it was too little too late. Overall our experience was quite disappointing. The house was unclean …

Ashar & family checked in, & advised the next day that they were not happy w/the level of cleanliness in the home. First time we've had this complaint so we wanted to do whatever we could to fix the situation & make them comfortable. Before we could do that he reached out to air bnb customer service. They noted that we had a 5 star rating & good reviews & wanted to let us address his concerns. He complained about dust BEHIND the sofa. Under kitchen cabinets not being as clean or organized as he'd like. He complained about seeing a daddy long leg spider in our garage that we gave them access to (an outside dwelling). He complained about linen looking used or rough (spare linen in the closet. Not the brand new ones on the beds.) He also asked that we purchase & set up another bed to put in an already furnished room bc his kids didn't want to sleep in the 3rd bedroom. A whole bed... That we'd have nothing to do with it once his 10 day stay would be up. When we did not agree to the bed he was no longer willing to stay. We called a professional maid service. They cleaned & organized for hours on that Monday. He asked them to move beds... Sofas... Even pull out a fridge to clean. They used the kitchen and asked them to even clean up their families breakfast mess from that day. That's not what we paid for. It's an air bnb. Not a personal butler service. This is unheard of. We took more brand new sheets with receipts to the home. We had left eggs and water in the fridge for the guest. He complained that we left food behind. We'll leave breakfast and water for everyone. The cabinets have seasoning and canned goods for anyone's use. Our previous tenants have appreciated that. That Tuesday after the maid service left, Ashar and family canceled their stay, which we were grateful for. Ashar was checking our personal mail when he should not have been. He explained that Instead of using an Amazon locker, he sent Amazon packages to our home. They wouldn't be in our mail box. He then sent rude texts to us about collecting the packages. We don't live in the home daily & he easily could have checked the outside. He is not easy to please or even reasonable for that matter. His wife said various things were broken in our home including a brand new vacuum that the maid service had no problem using. It's not broken. User error unbelievable. Our property manager is a woman and he was rude towards her as if she was beneath him. In hindsight this was the worst rental of our history. He had no precious reviews and we went in blind faith.
