First of all let me say that I would most definitely stay here again! The best thing about this apartment is its location. We drove from the airport at night and passed the Vatican and the Tiber river all lit up and reflecting the night lights and suddenly we turned down a charming cobblestone alley and we were there. We were in the middle of everything. The morning we went to the Vatican it was just a short, charming walk. Just over 10 minutes, I think. The Trevi Fountain was also within walking distance. When we went to the Colosseum, however, we opted for the bus. The apartment is near two tiny grocery stores (we bought eggs, bread, and nectarines for breakfast), an ATM, a restaurant (we never ate here for some reason) and a gelato place. (Decent stuff but I wouldn't recommend the Nutella flavor here). The apartments are completely separate. They are both accessed from the street. The smaller apartment is 500 years old. You unlock the street door then walk into the building to see an interesting, authentic, but rundown courtyard with statues, then unlock another door, then climb stairs until you get to the actual apartment door. In the larger apartment, you unlock the street door, climb two short flights of stairs, and then unlock the door of the apartment. The locks are intense. You turn the key like five times to finally unlock the door. My brother had the keys most of the time and he found it satisfying to click the lock so many times. LOL. My husband and I slept in the biggest room of the bigger, newer apartment and our bed was very comfortable. I discovered later that the other beds weren't as nice--especially in the smaller, older apartment. One bed was especially hard and my friend was miserable trying to sleep on it. The air conditioning didn't work well for us. When we tried to get it going, it would trip the breaker and the lights would go off. LOL. So we ended up keeping windows open. I wore ear plugs to block out the noise from the street. My brother and his wife slept in the back bedroom away from the street but were awakened by loud birds in the morning. The kitchen in the smaller apartment is teeny teeny tiny. But functional and so cute. The smaller apartment has a bit of a musty smell. Now, communication. At first I was stressed because Roger didn't contact us to explain the check-in procedure. His apartments were the first place we would be staying and I had no idea what we were doing and would have appreciated more information. All he told me after I messaged him and waited days and days for his reply was that we should call from the airport and let him know when we'd be there. On my own I gave him our tentative arrival time. He never even asked. Like I said, it gave me...

The location was central and very helpful for not only getting around Ancient Rome but also very convenient for getting to the Vatican. The apartment had more than was posted in the profile (dishes, soap, towels, sheets, pillows, blankets and wifi). We were not clear if it was provided or not. Apartment was very clean and in good shape. Roger was not there to meet us, the cleaning lady was however. We were under the impression that the 2 apartments were next door to each other for some reason. They are not at all, in fact you need a key just to get in and get out of the hallway which leads to the apartment. This was inconvenient and challenging for our family as a person could literally be trapped in the hallway. The doors automatically lock when you close them, so do NOT accidentally leave your key in your room. Air-conditioning was a life saver!

The place is awesome for who travel with a group. There is beds for 10 guests. The location is perfect, you could visit the major spots of Rome on foot and if you need there is a bus stop near. The place are a combination of two apartments, one have a brand new looking (just reformed), the other are more rustic, but beautiful. We didn't meet Roger, only Valentina, a assistant. We wanted to match a place to let our lugagge until the check in, but it isn't possible and we wait about 2 hours on the front of the building.

Since we had a lot of people - 8 persons, we have booked a combination of 2 apartments. They are located in the same house, through the authentic wonderful Italian courtyard. And fully comply with the description on this website. WiFi is available in both apartments. The apartments are located in the heart of the Eternal City: 150 m from Ponte Sant’Angelo and 7 minutes walk to the Piazza Navona. Two Carrefour shops are located near the apartments (150 m - on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, and 4 min. walk on Via del Governo Vecchio). It was a bit noisy in one bedroom and the living room of the apartment, which faces the street (repairing the pavement). Water heaters are not always cope with so many wanting to take a shower. Still a great place to stay in Rome and we recommend it.
