What a wonderful peaceful place tucked away in the hills above Velez. It is off the beaten track which was perfect for us and our dog- who thoroughly enjoyed himself playing for hours with Harvey, his doggy host.. Rachael and Ramon are lovely and considerate hosts and we have a…

Response from Rachael:
Aurelie, I deliberately didn't review your stay with us as I was so disappointed with the way you treated us and felt I would rather say nothing than give a bad review to another host. Obviously you didn't feel the same. You kept us waiting at the meeting point where we had arranged a specific time for an hour and didn't answer phone calls or texts, before you bothered to tell us that you had met with a friend and would be coming in the evening instead. Which meant another trip down to meet up with you...I explained by text and by email that we would wait for you in a specific meeting point to guide you up to the house, but you didn't bother, you just set off up an unknown mountain expecting to find the house. As parents I expected you to be more punctual, given that I had my starving children in the car having just picked them up from school. You also don't mention that we cooked a meal for you and baked bread specially as you had arrived without any food (even though you have kids!). The cottage is advertised as being on an organic farm, NOT that it was an eco house. You obviously didn't read the advert properly. Once we have the requisite 6000 euros we would love to put solar panels in, when Spain decides NOT to tax them. I found you messy and disorganised which was very difficult to deal with as it impacted on our own family life in a very negative way and we were extremely relieved once you left. Such a shame as we have had such lovely people staying here up until this experience.
