We are offering a modern and private one bedroom apartment in a historical 100-year-old Brooklyn house. Guests will have a quiet bedroom with queen-sized, bright common area with daybed, equipped kitchen and bathroom with standing shower.

The space

You are getting a private apartment with a lockable front door that has a cozy bedroom, a bathroom with a standing shower and equipped kitchen for basic cooking for your use. Living room has a ceiling fan and table fan to add for your comfort, and bedroom has an air conditioner during the hot months (until September). Bedroom includes a double bed that comfortably sleeps 2 and living room has a daybed that can be set up for up to 2 guests. The space is located in the second floor of the house with large windows that gives a lot of natural light.

House itself has 2 other apartments within, where we live in one and another is also hosting for airbnb.

Guest access

Guests has an access to a fully equipped kitchen and full bathroom. They are entering into the apartment through a shared hallway that is still under repair, so please excuse us, if the space is not appealing. Also, front of the house is another project waiting to be tackled, hence don't be alarmed that it has not been renovated yet.

We can also provide items such as hair dryer and iron upon .

Interaction with guests

We live in the premises and will be able to assist accordingly to our daily life. (Occasionally we go on a trip and will not be around, but will provide guests with proper instruction in such occasions)

Other things to note

The house is over 100-years-old and we are currently renovating the home, so everything is not top notch in the shared spaces (hallway, front of the house, backyard).

We had a very nice stay in the apartment. It's stocked with everything you need and the subway an easy walk, less than 5 minutes which is quick to Manhattan. It was also bigger than I expected, there was only two of us but I think this flat would easily be big enough for 4 people for a few days. Also compared to other options it was very good value. People in the neighbourhood were friendly. The only downside is that on Friday and Saturday night the street was noisy with people playing music until late. Therefore if you're looking for early nights at the weekend (specifically the weekend, didn't hear any noise during the weekday nights) maybe look elsewhere but apart from that I would definitely recommend the apartment and would stay again on future visits to NYC.

Beautiful place to stay , you feel like you're a proper New Yorker. Any time we asked a question Katja was very quick to reply, like a perfect host. The apartment is very nice as well as the neigbourhood. Amazing experience for sure!!

Exactly as described, a lovely flat on a quiet street. Perfect for 3 of us staying there for a week. Not much else in the neighbourhood, but easy access to different subways to get into Brooklyn and Manhattan.

This place was perfect for a New York visit and too see Brooklyn, a very up and coming hip neighbour hood. The train was 21stops outside the city but more than manageable as the station is a 5 minute walk. We had the best time and the bed was so comfortable

It's a great little apartment; a block and a half from the L train, New Lots Ave stop and a corner shop across the road! The kitchen is great, comfortable bed and good shower! Katja was kind enough to drop in extra bedding and an extra fan to keep us cool in the summer heat! Great!

We had such a good time in New York and the apartment was really well located for everything we wanted to do and only a 5 minute walk to the nearest subway station. The flat was lovely, the photos depict it really well. Katja was really helpful and friendly too. We didn't want to come home!
