I really find it difficult to know where to start with this place. Maybe the positive first. Nice view from the deck ( although the view you see is not the view you get ) . Nice hammock on the deck. Kitchen well equipped, bathroom not bad, big bath, but no shower attachment. Phil…
Response from Phillip And Susan:
Our cottage is in a quiet, out of the way village in a conservation village. We were unable to get our internet working as well as it should and did not know that Michael insisted on impeccable service. We have since fixed the wifi. He did not seem to enjoy relaxing or taking in the scenery or the beautiful village culture. He only complained about the inconsistent wi-fi service, and even added his personal comments about the cottage which were completely exaggerated, please read the other reviews to get a more balanced view. We tried everything to correct the wifi problem that was also affecting us, but we had difficulty connecting his (Hidden by Airbnb) tablet but laptops and other tablets connected without a problem. Quiet honestly we were ultimately taken back by his off handed rude and dismissing attitude towards us personally in conversations while I was trying my best to attend to the problem. We are sorry that it did not live up to his standards but he really should maybe have stayed at a 4 star hotel in Camps Bay rather than in our rustic village town, and their personal rudeness was not appreciated. We were as polite as we can and tried everything to make them happy, but to no avail. We were quite frankly shocked. The place was left in an absolute mess with broken dishes, broken door handle and other damages to the floor. I would have to highly caution anyone who would consider renting to them in the future. All our other guests have had fantastic experiences and were absolutely wonderful and some have become good friends. We will continue to offer the best service we can even in the face of this unfortunate event.
