The space
The house does not share the land with other properties, allowing total exclusivity of the space and in a cozy atmosphere of a large backyard.

The house was designed and built without removing any trees from the land, and we embraced a landscaping proposal in order to use the native vegetation itself.

House with a double bed (standard size 138x188 cm). In the bedroom, there is also a clothes rack with hangers and two shelves to accommodate clothes.

A well-equipped kitchen with the necessary household items for preparing delicious breakfasts and tasty meals. It has a gas oven for roasting. The sink and stove (with 4 burners) are in an island format, which enhances the interaction between those present in the environment, in addition to being in a kitchen environment surrounded by light and a panoramic view of the greenery.

There is no TV, but there is Wi-Fi internet if the guest wants to watch things on their personal laptop, which can be connected to the monitor available in the house.

The wooden deck is a good place to sunbathe, has a bench around its entire perimeter, and has hooks for a hammock.
At night, the deck is a special place to look at the stars, the moon and the moonlight, and to contemplate atmospheric phenomena.

The bathroom has a large mirror, which does not distort the reflected image. 110 Volt socket in the sink. The shower has abundant water.

The site has a garage for one car inside the property, the land is all walled, there is no area with grass, to privilege the Buzian undergrowth itself. The short walk between the street/garage gate to the house is a natural trail; it is not paved. The intention is to avoid the application of concrete on the ground, instead we manage the natural characteristics.

Guest access
The guest has access to the entire space and in a private manner.

The house's backyard is large (1000 m²) and has walking trails among native species. It is very nice to walk on the grounds and observe the birds, butterflies, crickets. On these paths, you can see the horizon, the sea, and the mountains in the background.
On one of the trails, there is a termite mound that can be climbed and enjoyed as a lookout point.
There is a large native Surinam cherry tree at the back of the yard, sometimes bearing fruit.
There is a wood stove, if you decide to light it, only use clay and stone pots on it, while stainless steel pots should only be used on the gas stove, as they are not suitable for the wood stove.

Other things to note
In the photo captions, there is important information about the house. The guest must read all the content of the listing for science. Write to us if you have any questions.

In the bedroom, there is no curtain or breakout, so even with the wooden shutter closed, some degree of light can pass through the wooden slits during the day. In summer, the sun rises around 5:00 a.m. This can be important information for people who are sensitive to any degree of light in the sleeping environment.

Check the "list of amenities" to see if they meet your needs. For example, we do not have a microwave and we do not have a sofa, as we idealized the concept of a hammock for the house. If this amenity is important to you, please send me a message telling me, even if it is in the ad consultation stage. The stove is gas. The amenities chosen to be present are thinking of a house for two people.

Hammock, instead of a sofa. Get involved in the hammock's rest. Or two hammocks if the deck hammock is also used. Two hammocks together is really nice.
Some guests have already given feedback saying that they missed having a sofa, so it is important to be aware of the absence of this amenity. If you wish, the air mattress can be requested in advance for the living room.

The very beautiful backyard provides an interesting contemplative experience when walking through the trails contained by the vegetation that makes up the garden in the back of the house. There is a native pintanga tree in the back, which usually blooms and is abundant with fruit in the months around September.

In addition to birds and the coimbra-filha opossum, another of the wildlife animals we've seen passing through the yard was the hedgehog. We recommend observing from afar, as wild animals usually flee when they perceive human presence and deserve our respect.

The architectural project is by architect Roberto Aracri. He also supervised the construction of the house.

Neighbourhood highlights

We are on the edge of the Costa del Sol State Park, an area of abundant greenery and exuberant endemic nature. At the same time, in this portion of the peninsula, which is now being called Búzios Village, the amenities of urbanization are accessible because the surroundings of Praia Brava are well served by markets, greengrocers, and there is also a pharmacy near the house (650 meters or 10 minutes on foot).
The location of the house is strategic, it is very close to Praia Brava. Also close to other beaches.
You can walk to Rua das Pedras on a pleasant walk via Orla Bardort, or around Lagoa da Usina, where it is common to see the friendly capybaras.
Orla Bardot is known for offering fine dining and shopping options.
The Costa do Sol State Park, which houses an endemic fauna and flora where, for example, the "cactus-de-cabelinho" and the little bird called "formigueiro-do-litoral" ("Formicivora Littoralis"), a rare bird, but that usually flies from one tree to another in the backyard of the house, with its unmistakable carijó wing in its canary size and characteristic song. The coquette opossum is an abundant species in the locality, and occasionally can even be seen walking around the grounds of the house. It is interesting that the guest researches the image of these animals on the internet, so that they become accustomed to their appearance and avoid scares.
Despite favoring nature, there are specific issues that could be resolved, for example, the removal of the Molasses Grass. At home, as part of the land reforestation plan, we manually removed all the Molasses Grass and the result was great. The Molasses Grass is not native to the locality, and yet it causes a great imbalance, because the place where it grows becomes suffocated, which prevents the natural development of other species of the locality. The hill from Praia Brava to Olho de Boi, as well as other parts of the municipality, are infested with Molasses Grass, and it could be replaced by reforestation of native forest. In addition, during the dry season, the colonizing grass is more vulnerable to fires. When this grass burns, it grows back quickly, entering a cycle of advantage over native vegetation that does not recover from fires as quickly. This issue of the Molasses Grass can help us reflect on effective nature preservation actions.
