Nestling down a quite ally in the ancient town of Argiroupoli Yonnie’s house is an ideal location for those wishing to be away from the hustle and bustle of the usual tourist spots.
Argiroupoli is a small, very local town which is situated half way up the mountains between Rethmyno and Chania and not far from the lovely and expansive Episkopi beach which includes a number of tavernas. It’s about a 20 minute drive to Rethmyno and an hour to either Heraklio and Chania. The fishing port and town of Georgioupoli with many bars and restaurants is also about 20 minutes drive away en route to Chania.
This fully renovated traditional Cretan stone cottage on two levels which will accommodate 4 comfortably whilst an additional 2 – 4 people could be accommodated on blow-up mattresses.
Just a 2 minute walk from the town square you enter a courtyard from the ally through a door leading to the downstairs area, a small courtyard, a bathroom (bath, washbasin and toilet) and staircase leading upstairs.
On the upper level there is a patio looking down the valley to the sea in the distance, with an outside table and chairs as well as a built in stone BBQ. Enter the upstairs areas through two doors into an open plan space with a living area, dining area and double bed with wood burning fire.
Downstairs is a small kitchen, another dining area with a small table, a stone fire place, a second bathroom (shower, washbasin and toilet) and another built in double bed in an open plan area.
Two additional beds (blow-up mattresses ideal for younger guests) can be added, if required, either downstairs or upstairs.
