A beautiful house with wonderful Mexican and Santa Fe style touches. The room was spacious but cozy because of being on 2 levels and filled with warm textiles, etc. The king size bed was great- we slept very well in the edge-of-town quiet. There was coffee for us each day, in addition to a basket of snacks, and we loved the Tesuque Village Market very near by for a hearty breakfast, French pastry and homemade breads, great food for all meals and a bar. There are lots of nice touches like luxurious robes and slippers and Lannie is very friendly and knowlegable - helpful as we planned our days adventures. The house is really unique, full of art and architectural treasures, mostly from Mexico. We felt very welcome in the kitchen/dinning room and the great room that our room adjoined. The house sits amidst a dozen or more apple trees and the whole property is very pastoral, despite being only 7 - 10 minutes to downtown Santa Fe. A real delight.

The hosts were welcoming. The outdoor area was cluttered and not inviting to sit outside.

Response from Lannie:
Thank you for saying we were warm and welcoming. However, considering you were only here in the evenings when it was cold and dark in the fall we are not sure why you would make this critical and derogatory comment about our furnished portal. Ours is an extraordinary property with 150 year old apple trees. When you were here, and not off on adventures driving to Taos one day and Bandelier National Monument the next, you made good use of all the inside spaces even taking advantage of doing your laundry and using our supplies in the kitchen which Murray respectfully requested. All other guests have enjoyed the guidebooks, maps and our suggestions. We try very hard to do as much as possible to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. (See other reviews.) Yes, the leaves fall off the trees as do the apples. And it's true we don't use/sit outside on the portal this time of year because it is too cold here in the evenings at 6500 feet altitude.

Lannie was the best host! She opened her beautiful, magical home with such generosity and attention to detail. The home was inviting and comfortable. Lannie made sure I had everything I needed. She was a wealth of information about the area and places to go. I loved having a room and bathroom that gave me a lot of privacy which is very important to me. At the same time Lannie always made feel welcome. The location was very convenient to the places I needed to go. I would go back to Lannie's home again and again.
