Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Charming adobe in the hills of Dixon, an artist's village, with wilderness walks a step out the door. Viga ceilings, southwestern decor, and works by local artists. All the comforts of home, all the access of camping. Exceptional quiet, gorgeous sunsets best viewed from our plush ramada with its generous, built-in banco.

Superfast Wifi.

The space
Privacy that's hard to find anymore. All while having access to the amenities of a well-appointed home--comfortable beds, linens, towels, our newly remodeled and very well-appointed kitchen, internet, stereo, streaming TV, an AppleTV for access to streaming apps and a DVD library.

Guest access
The entire house is yours. We have a large cul-de-sac driveway for parking. The village is a 15 minute walk away, or a 3-4 min car ride.

Other things to note
The house is cooled by a swamp cooler--not the power of an air conditioner, but preferred in dry climates and keeps the house comfortable. The house has central heating.

The tower (second) bedroom is only accessible by the steep ladder-stairs, which is pictured. A note about sound: there is no hatch on this stair entry, so sound can travel through the house.

There are two bedrooms which can nicely accommodate four people. A fifth guest can sleep on the couch in the living room.

Re dogs: We welcome well-behaved pets that don't chew or climb on furniture. We ask that pets not be left alone in the house uncrated. So if you plan to take trips without your pet, please bring a crate for your dog! There is an additional $50 cleaning fee for pets.

Lives in Los Angeles, California
I'm a filmmaker and commercial director, Nora a teacher and master gardener. Nora and I found this gem when friends of ours who had built it turned it into a vacation rental. Nora was their first guest and after that visit she said, if you ever sell this place please call us first. The house has given us endless pleasure. We have felt lucky to get to know many fine people in Dixon. I even made a film about one of them, Ra Paulette, a cave digger. The house if full of things that we like and many of our guests appreciate the personal touch.
