House Rules

We are opening our home to guests and hope/expect that you will respect our property. We are a smoke free property. Since we are a small homestead with a barn, animals, and hay; cigarettes and their smelly fire hazard are not conducive to our happy, healthy and safe home.

We also ask that you not invite guests onto our property without prior consent from us. We welcome beer and wine to be responsibly consumed by guests over 21 years of age.

Although our animals love humans and human food; including your fingers, clothing etc, these are not a great diet for our furry family. Goats like to chomp down on objects put near their mouths, please make sure that's not your hand. Also, the fencing is electrified it's not a show of coolness nor strength to see how long one can hold the fence, regardless of what the house teenagers tell you.

Finally, we ask that you have fun, laugh, eat good food, and enjoy this beautiful part of the Maine coast.

I want to save places like Angie's and keep it a secret because it's so beautiful and perfect, but that wouldn't be fair to her. She has a great location for mid-coast Maine; offers big, beautiful beds and nice linens to her guests; and is generous with her love and knowledge of the area. She is a hospitality professional and it shows in every detail. Kudos and huzzahs to Angie!

This is a great old house with spacious accommodations for the weary traveler. We had nearly an entire wing of the house to ourselves. It is a little close to Highway 1 but the back bedroom offered plenty of quiet.

The house is old but cozy. Angie and her family, also the cute dogs and cat, are so nice! We do have a great trip in Maine.

Angie is an exceptional host and our visit to her home was delightful. We decided to eat in for breakfast and Angie prepared a veritable feast for us. We really enjoyed our visit to Angie's place and would definitely recommend it.

We loved our stay in Searsport at Angie's. Not only is the home full of local and historic color, the bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable and the private bathroom clean and well-stocked. And the extra touches like coffee, wine, and snacks in our room were very thoughtful. It was a bit difficult finding the house with our GPS and we ended up a few places over, but Angie's directions warn you of this possibility and we were eventually able to find it without a problem. Once there, we found a warm household with lively pets and generous hosts. Would definitely stay again if passing through the area.

I am a happily married woman with two fantastic teenage daughters. I love cooking, wine, traveling, animals, and gardening.

I have been in the restaurant industry for 25 years, I'm even married to the industry, my husband is a chef.

We have a very close group of family and friends that we travel with, cook for, and drink wine with (yes, there is a pattern to my life). I have always had the home that is open to our friends, so hosting on AirBnB is basically a no-brainer for me.
