If your choice is a sumptuous cooked or a continental style breakfast, this can be provided - along with that rather nice choice of whether to dine al fresco outside your tent, or under the pergola with your hosts.

The village has two three supermarkets, six bars and two butchers. There is a beautiful wooded parkland with seating, a play area for the children and a communal swimming pool.

La Romana, set in the foothills of the Sierra del Reclot mountains, is 400m above sea level, and is well known for its mild climate. Staying in the Lantana tent was a fantastic and unique experience during my 2-week trip across the southern Iberian peninsula. I was en route on a road trip with my husband, and we were looking for a spot to stop for one night—Lazy Days exceeded our expectations. We would have liked to stay longer. It happened to be a stormy night when we were there, but inside the tent stayed dry and cozy. The sound of the rain was cool and relaxing! There is also a nice shared indoor bathroom in the nearby annex house. Plus, Darren and Karen went way above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They even shared a home cooked meal with us (since we arrived without food, and forgetting it was a Sunday and that no shops or restaurants would be open). The property is beautiful. And La Romana is a neat little town. We highly recommend staying with the Houghs at Lazy Days!

To sleep in Karen's tent was one of the most unique and best airbnb experiences we have ever made. You have all amenities you need to make your stay very comfortable. The view on the city and the stars with the ambiente of the fire and the tent was litteraly breathtaking. The two hosts make sure you have everything you need! If you like being in the nature, or if you do a roadtrip, we totally recommend to stay at least min. One night at Karen's. Thank you for this experience! :)

Thanks Karen and darren for a wonderfull stay!

About Us...
Welcome to Lazy Days - previously an aspiration, now a reality. We are hugely excited by what lies ahead - even if we're not quite sure what that actually is.

There's a little verse that sums up why we made the decision to relocate to Spain, having lived in the UK til now:

'Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work, and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes, and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so that you can afford to live in it.' Ellen Goodman.

With most of our professional lives spent employed and working for others, and for me a hefty daily commute to the Big Smoke, we became increasingly restless for a change of lifestyle. Cogs started spinning and plans were hatched, and a year later - we are now doing what some may call 'living the dream'.

Our ideas...
We do not have a plan as such. Darren and I are both very forward thinking people - rarely looking behind us, embracing each new day and the adventures that it brings with it.

The bell tents will allow for that outdoor living which is so attractive to many. Call it glamping, camping, posh camping.... it is all the same and we look forward to our guests enjoying what will be a wonderful haven of tranquility and peace.

Darren and Karen.
