The space

Come experience Bolton Valley like a local! Stay in our unique, fun mountain home.....kick back...relax. This 4-6 person chalet is high up a mountain road in a unique neighborhood of ski homes. The home is situated at a higher elevation than the start of all Bolton Valley's 5 lift lines (which means from the house you can ski down to the lifts or hike up 20 minutes to top for first tracks - although you'll have to race our neighbors ;)).

Our clean duplex home is fully designed for snow-sport enthusiast while also considering the importance of après-ski comfort and fun. Our space is perfect for families or couples looking for convenience and privacy, not often found in the humdrum of a hotel room. You will have WiFi, satellite TV with HBO, linens, full kitchen, fireplace, and new washer and dryer, all to yourself.

Bolton Valley is well known for amazing back-country skiing as well as being the area's family friendly ski destination. The Resort is the closest ski resort to Burlington (30 minutes) and equal distance to Montpelier and Stowe. You would only be 13 miles away from Waterbury; a hotspot for après-ski food, wine and beer. Even closer, there is always the tavern at the resort (short walk or ski).

Whether you are looking for solitude or adventure we can provide you with information on anything in the area. Please don't hesitate to contact us for questions or recommendations.

Lars is a great host! When he had to have some work done on the propane tanks, he offered us a free night's stay to make up for any inconvenience. He was very flexible and accommodating, and it's a sweet comfy spot!

Lars' place was a great getaway. The living area was a cozy and comfortable space. Lars was well organized with a guest book and instructions that made things very easy. Greeting us upon arrival was also a bottle of red wine provided by Lars (very kind gesture). Unfortunately since there wasn't enough snow to ski, we could not take advantage of the easy access to the nearest downhill trail but it was easy to see across the road and a neighbor's driveway. Would definitely consider again.

This is a very nice Ski house if you want to live in the mountain and very close to Bolton Valley Ski resort. The house is pretty warm, well equipped, and Lars is a very nice host. However if you are a big party make sure to check with Lars for number of bathrooms.

All expectations and house rules were very clear. Lars provided important information with plenty of notice. There is a lot of helper information for those who are visiting the Bolton/Waterbury/Stowe area for the first time. My wife and I planned to try the area out for our anniversary weekend -- there were many great attractions and some incredible dining experiences. It's worth noting that she is gluten intolerant and the area is super accommodating for that. Lars left a binder with menus and it made our first explorations much easier. The location is fantastic and the place is very cozy. It provided the solitude we hoped for while also remaining close enough to things we wanted to do and see. Lars was responsive when I had a question and needed some help. He took care of things immediately. In short, staying here was perfect for an early fall weekend getaway.

Lars provided us with a detailed description of activities (restaurants, breweries, hiking spots, etc.) that we could do around the ski House. There was a binder full of restaurant and bar description around Vermont! The ski house is a great destination for travellers that are looking to both hike and visit taprooms in Waterbury and Burlington. Waterbury is just 10 minutes from the house. We were also at 30 minutes of Camel Hump which is a good hiking spot. The house itself was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We greatly appreciated the fireplace as well as the barbecue on the terrasse. The neighbourhood was pretty quiet as we were out of ski season. I would recommend this place as it provides a calm spot which is not that far from few cities.

The experience was a very positive one for our first experience. Lars was helpful and communicative leading up to the stay. The place was as nice as described, the beds were very comfy. Being able to ski on and off the slopes was a huge plus! We would rent again.

I'm easy to get along with and love to travel. The usual challenges of life don't bother me much and if anything keeps it interesting. A 10 hour airport delay or a sudden rainstorm - both fine with me. I really enjoy snow and mountains, Vermont IPA's, and relaxing by the fireplace and that pretty much explains why I ended up in amazing and beautiful Bolton Valley, Vermont. We call it the Snowglobe :) and yes it really does snow a ton up here!
