Ipiranga is a noble district of the southern area in the Ipiranga district, in São Paulo, Brazil. It is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city. It is a middle-class neighborhood and upper middle class. Houses important historic sights, such as the Museu Paulista, one of the most popular in Brazil. There is also the Independence Square in front of the museum building. In Independence Square, there is a monument that symbolizes the independence of Brazil (proclaimed in what is now the park) and the famous "Ipiranga Cry". Inside the park, you can see the Cry of the house, which appears on the right side of Pedro Américo Painter picture showing independence.
Besides being a residential neighborhood, is also a business district, and the Nazareth Avenue as the main route. Parallel to the Nazareth Avenue, is located the famous "Kernel of Ipiranga" among Manifesto streets, Tabor, Commander Taylor and Nazareth Avenue, which is the most famous spot of the neighborhood and the most valued. The neighborhood is served by three stations of Line 2 - Green Subway of São Paulo. They are: Sacomã, Alto do Ipiranga and Santos-immigrants, and also by the company Ipiranga Station Paulista Metropolitan Trains.
