House on a hill with beautiful views. Rooms lead off a sunny atrium that is a great place to eat or relax. Also a snug sitting room with log fire.
Offa's dyke nearby and many tracks for a cycling holiday. Or just to be. Other rooms also for 6 more.

The space

Our location is on the border of Wales so great for castle rising, biking or walking in Wales.
Many people come for family occasions and events or just to slow down and enjoy nature in all her beauty.

Guest access

You have access to the basement with food preparation area, the snooker table and squash court. There is a large atrium that is a good place to relax or to eat. A sitting room is off the atrium and has a log fire.
There are nice grounds and gardens to explore, two ponds and a picnic area on the top of the hill.

Interaction with guests

We will help in any way we can to make your stay homely and successful.

Other things to note

We have a workshop if you are on a cycle holiday as there may be maintenance you need to do. Also a sauna - we could make arrangements for its use at a small charge.

An excellent welcome from great hosts, for a restful overnight stay in a fine house within a wonderful landscape.

Shona and James offer a beautiful house with the most picturesque garden. Very relaxed and quiet, perfect for a weekend getaway although we would have liked to stay longer. Great communication. Although we were too busy exploring Wales, the squash court, snooker table and sauna are all excellent additions to this accommodation.

My family and I stayed at Shona's beautiful house over the Easter weekend. Shona and her husband were very welcoming and helpful during our stay. The views from the house were amazing. We especially enjoyed spending time at the atrium. It was a bonus that we were able to watch baby lambs that were just born, too! The room we stayed was spacious and comfortable for a family of 4. My 7-year old son also loved playing in the squash court. We had a great time.

Shona and her husband were exceptionally welcoming and helpful throughout. The room was spacious and very clean. The living space as can be seen from the pictures was very unusual and a great place to be. There was also a cosy lounge where the fire was lit every night. Having you're own squash court, sauna, snooker and table tennis was a bonus too. The highlight was the local pub with an open fire, great beer and really chilled out live acoustic music on Friday and Saturday night. I believe they will also start doing food from later in November.

My partner and I stayed at Shona over the weekend when we were visiting friends in Chirk, Shona's home is a beautiful oasis set the idyllic countryside. The room was comfortable, the air pure and you could even pick a cheeky grape from her vines growing in her three story greenhouse / courtyard!

This place is stunning, no other words to describe it. Fabulous views, comfortable, extremely clean rooms, congenial hosts. Perfect, wish we could have stayed longer. Fresh wild flowers in the room, free run of the gardens, a visit o the geese and the wild pond.. All my favourite things rolled in to one, too short, 24 hours. Thank you very much
