The flat is exactly as per the photographs, very clean and nice retro decor. The single bed and the double bedroom are on the same floor as the kitchen / settees, and above this (kind of open plan) is another double bedroom. Patrick was there when we arrived, and was very prompt also seeing us off. Although not central, the transport into the centre of Paris couldn't be easier. 10 minutes to central Paris - Saint Lazare - and then a few metro stops to most places. One day we got a direct bus from just round the corner from the flat, via the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees to the Musee d'Orsay which was so convenient and fun looking out. As others have said there is a restaurant downstairs and sometimes you can hear chairs being moved and slight voices but not enough to cause a big problem - if you are a city dweller you probably wouldn't even notice. (I am very sensitive to noise.) The area is really nice, with bakers, a takeaway pizza place in the same road which the children loved. 2 minutes walk are two small supermarkets, and 5/6 minutes walk is a large supermarket (Monoprix).

Patrick and Nam's apartment is really nice and very close to city centre. It takes 15 minutes by train and the station is only 2 minutes walking. The flat was clean and it had everything that we needed. There are supermarket in the neighbourhood and some coffee shop as well. We highly recommend this apartment.

A fantastic experience! We stayed in Patrick and Nam's apartment just before Christmas 2015 to visit family who live locally. The apartment is very well situated, being just a few minutes walk to very frequent trains to Paris ( 10-15 mins only to gare Saint-Lazare) and to a local square with a boulangerie, paper shop and convenience store. The pictures do it justice, it is a beautiful place, a quirky mix of 60s/70s with the contemporary that really works. There is great attention to detail, I can't really think of anything to suggest. There were 5 of us, including 3 children, and we did not feel cramped. As we live in a very quiet little town with no road noise, I was a bit worried about the potentially busy location but the double glazing did a beautiful job, we all slept like babies. Patrick was very honest about the presence of a restaurant below but it was so quiet it might as well not have been there. Our host did everything to make us feel informed and comfortable, a 5 star review from us. If I have to try and say something critical, I would say it's possible that some would find the mezzanine sleeping area not quite dark enough at night ( I had 2 children sleeping up there, they slept through beautifully), and that the access to the mezzanine is a little worrying for very small children, but really for us the apartment easily exceeded our expectations and I am happy to fully recommend it to all- even tourists for central Paris because it's SO easy and convenient to go in from there. 5 stars, thanks for everything Patrick and Nam, we will be back!

Patrick's place is nice. The location is as described. The walk to transportation is very doable. Felt very safe even when walking back at night. There are a few little groceries near by and places to eat. We didn't try any of them so I can not comment. The beds were comfy but the pillows were completely flat, the pictures are misleading where pertaining to the beds. The linens look much nicer in the pics and no fluffy extra pillows. Other than that our only other complaint was NO air conditioning. I think I over looked that before booking. So just be fully aware if you are going in hot will be hot in the apartment. The first night we were there we had one fan in the upstairs bedroom and one in the smaller bedroom but nothing in the other. We even offered to buy a fan before one of the owners brought one that was borrowed from a neighbor. Granted, I think it was unusually hot during our stay as there was a heat advisory issued! But just more of a reason for them to have furnished an extra fan without us begging for one. Or at least I would have thought. Otherwise, our stay was enjoyable. The shower was nice as well. Probably one of the nicer ones we've seen in the Air bnb's.

Hospitality refers to the relationship between a guest and a host, wherein the host receives the guest with goodwill, including the reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers. I would like to clarify your complaint about the exceptional heat wave in June 2017, the air conditioning, extra fan and also my sheets and pillow. Knowing that it will be very hot in June, I provided two fans in the apartment, before the arrival of Stacy's family. On SUNDAY morning June 18, Stacy's husband asked me for one more extra fan (Paris is in a heatwave), not possible to buy a fan on a Sunday and out of stock, Stacy thought that with MONEY she can buy everything. Finally I have a nice neighbor helped me! It is an apartment where I live there with my family, it is obvious that I chose the comfort of my pillow and the sheets and towels for my taste.
